Ferrari Testarossa - The Most Successful Ferrari Ever
Ferrari's are perhaps best known for three qualities: performance, style, and rarity. While the Ferrari Testarossa might qualify for the first two, it was one of the only Ferraris ever that should not be considered rare. In fact, over 10,000 of these cars were produced from 1984 until 1996. Only the car sold up until 1990 was officially called the Testarossa, but the Ferrari 512TR and F512M were both based off the original Testarossa design.
The Testarossa was designed by Pininfarina and featured a V12 engine. The original engine made 380 horsepower from the factory and had no problem qualifying for the US gas guzzler tax. It became the status symbol car of the 1980's, and was featured in such hit TV shows as Miami Vice and several movies from the period.
