Ferrets are wonderful creatures and they make fantastic pets. However, living with a ferret is serious business. They are intelligent and mischeivious, and they love to get into trouble.
Ferret Fun is my collection of ferrety links and information for people who love ferrets. We have lived with ferrets since 2001 and I can't imagine how we ever lived without them. Our family currently includes a business of four ferrets that have enriched our lives in ways that I cannot possibly describe. People who live with ferrets will understand that feeling.
I welcome your ferret related comments and questions. I'd love to hear about your ferrets, too.

Crisis in our Ferret Shelters
Ferret shelters around the world are in crisis right now and need your help. Many shelters I have contacted are completely full and have no room for new surrenders. Generally ferret shelters receive little or no financial assistance and they function based on the dedication of a few individuals who volunteer their time, money, and hearts to these wonderful animals.Please consider visiting your local ferret shelter and offering your support. Can you spend a few hours cleaning cages, or can you donate supplies or money? Can you offer a forever home or even a temporary foster home?
Spring, Summer, and Christmas breaks are a great time for students and teachers to volunteer some of their extra time, and it is a great way for young people with little or no work experience to learn valuable skills and enhance their resume.

Ferret shelters around the country are loaded with unwanted ferrets that have been discarded for one reason or another.Sometimes a parent will purchase a ferret for their child and when they move on to a new toy, the ferret is abandoned or neglected. Other times a ferret owner is forced to give up a great pet because they move to a location where ferrets are illegal. There are many different reasons why sweet, gentle, and wonderful pets are left behind. - Hi. I have a "business" of ferrets now. Have a 2 year old white one - Miss-Chief, and two nine week old sisters Elvira and Muza. What great company these extra two have made to is. And my how different those sisters are.

- Ohh they are so CUTE! I would love to have one .. almost, lol. Right now I have too many little pets that all must be inside so I guess unless I get a bigger house they will have to do. I sure love these little guys though. THUMBS UP and SQUID ANGEL BLESSED

- Your ferrets are SO cute! We thought about getting a ferret for my son but we're waiting until he is a little more responsible. Its a big responsibility and we don't want him to think of a pet as a "toy". If he still wants one in a year or so, we'll see. Nice lens. =)
