The concept for the Fifa 10 Ultimate Team is to collect "virtual cards" to boost up your team. There are players cards, training cards, contract cards, formation cards, stadium cards, jersey cards and so on.
You can also trade your cards with other players online for coins. The "coins" are the Fifa 10 UT (FUT) currency which allows you to purchase bronze pack, silver pack or gold pack.

Using custom tactics in Ultimate Team
By default, FUT 10 comes with a Ultimate Team default tactics. If you wish to use your own custom tactics which you've already created in the normal Fifa 10 mode, this is possible and also encourage to suit your playing style.
Prerequisite: You need to create at least one custom tactics in the normal Fifa 10 mode.
1. Go to the normal Fifa 10 mode and go to "Edit Team".
2. Select "Team Management".
3. Choose any team.
4. Select "Quick Tactics".
5. Select the default "Quick Tactics" and then select your pre-created custom tactics.
6. By doing so, you have set your "Quick Tactics" to use your custom tactics.
7. To use your custom tactics during the game, on the D-Pad, press "Down" and then "Up" to select your quick tactics/custom tactics.

All contract cards pack
Playing FUT 10 not using real cash
One of the key concern of Fifa 10 Ultimate team is the running out of players contract cards. When the demand is higher than the supply, the price of the contract cards goes up.
Many of us have raised the displeasure that EA is trying to entice the gamers to use real cash to purchase the game pack cards when their coins ran out.
Currently, EA has created some special silver and special gold packs in their store. Since EA can easily create these special game packs, why not created a "All Contract Cards" game pack instead!
Seriously, EA should create the contract cards game pack to keep the gamers playing the game.

Unlimited gold packs glitch
Using MS points on XBox360
Apparently, there is this "Unlimited gold packs glitch/bug" on XBox360 using MS points only. Hopefully EA can disable the purchase of packs using MS points till the issue is fixed.
Seriously, the progammers in EA need to improve to allow such easily exploitable problem to be released.
The video is the evidence of the free gold pack exploit.
Steps:
1. Purchase gold premium pack with MS points only, don't use coins
2. When the screen with your purchased gold cards comes up, press A.
3. Next move the cards either into consumables, team, trade Pile and so on.
4. Press B to go back multiple times till you reach the "Do you want to exit Ultimate Team?".
5. Select yes and exit to the normal fifa 10 arena.
6. Press start and go straight back into Ultimate Team.
7. As soon as you're back in UT, select Store and press A.
8. You'll see a "You have a pack waiting for you".
9. Enjoy the free gold premium pack.
The chemistry issue is confirmed

Many of you have been feeling an issue with Chemistry online, and the FUT 10 team have been working hard to try to identify what's happening in the game. As some of you are aware, this has been tricky - so much of what we found indicated that chemistry was working, but because of the feedback from the community we dug deeper and deeper.
After a LOT of investigating, last night we found an issue with chemistry in online matches(I'm sure that you're not surprised!). Offline, everything's good.
So, I wanted to explain exactly what's happening as there's a lot of incorrect information going around, and what steps we are taking to address the issue.
Basically, in online matches chemistry is having only a fraction of the impact that it should have. It's NOT functioning incorrectly in that your players aren't having their chemistry reversed, you're not getting the opposition chemistry team values etc. If you have a 100 chemistry squad and you try it online and in single player, you will have noticed the difference and I'm assuming that this is what people are experiencing when they say that their team is playing terribly. Basically, what you're experiencing offline has a chemistry effect, and online chemistry's influence is less obvious.
Given that Chemistry can have a positive or negative effect on team performance, this means that gamers are not experiencing a significant loss in quality of play from having a low Chem team, neither are they benefitting from a big boost from having a high Chemistry team.
Now that we've identified exactly what the problem is, we're busy working on the fix which will require a client side fix for FUT 10. Fixing an issue like this is complicated as it's much bigger process than changing the code - we also need to run through the testing process, and then submit our update to Microsoft and Sony for testing and approval. Unfortunately this is a long process - we will do everything we can to make this as speedy as possible but we expect this to take a month or so to pass through all the stages.
What this means in the short term is that player ability and individual attributes are much more important for your team than chemistry for online matches. Players still suffer drops in ability when they play out of position (as that's a separate system), so getting people into the right position is still important (I know you can win with 11 GKs as a couple of people have shown, but that's something that's possible anyway). It's still worth getting good chemistry as you'll get a small advantage, but it's just much smaller than it should.
I'd like to say thanks to the forums for showing patience whilst we were investigating, and I'm really sorry that this issue was not spotted beforehand. We will keep you updated as to any changes in the time frames.

Fifa 10 Ultimate Team chemistry broken?
Is the FUT 10 chemistry really broken?
After 2 days since the release of FUT 10, players have been highlighting the "weird" experience whereby a low chemistry team formed by 11 goal keepers can easily beat a team of 4 stars and 83% chemistry.
Personally, I can't confirm the chemistry issue too because I'm still using a 3 stars team with low chemistry (about 32%). At this point of time, EA is aware and they are investigating this issue before giving any concrete explanation.

FUT Video Trailer
The Trial allows you to access every part of the game that is accessible in the full version with one condition. You are only allowed to play 5 matches in the Trial. Purchasing the full version will allow you to continue FUT exactly where you left off in the Trial version.
Why are my Achievements/Trophies for Ultimate Team not unlocking after I complete the requirements?
You will not receive any trophies while using the Trial Versions. To receive the trophies, you will have to purchase the full version of the game.
Will I need to unlock all the Trophies again if I buy the Full version?
No. Upon purchasing the Full Version, you will receive all the Trophies you were eligible to receive.
When I delete my club am I also deleting FUT?
Deleting the Club will not delete FUT 10. This will only allow you to start over from the beginning.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to play FIFA Ultimate Team?
Yes. All FUT 10 data and user info is stored on the FUT 10 servers. Losing connection to the internet will cause you to lose connection to our servers.
Why do I see two different languages playing FUT 10?
Part of the game takes information provided from FIFA 10. This includes Buttons callouts, Banner messages and some pop-ups. So if you are, say, a French speaker and have stated this while playing FIFA 10, and you proceed to download the English FUT 10, both French and English will be present in the game.
Can I use my virtual pro in FIFA 10 Ultimate Team?
Simply put, no. You are not able to bring your virtual pro into FUT 10. Also FUT 10 no longer supports the created player within the game.
Can I play against a friend in FUT 10?
There is no option in FUT 10 to invite a friend to play against. This feature is only accessible in FIFA 10.
Is there a FUT 10 Leader board?
There are no Leader Boards within FUT 10.
GAMEPLAY AND TOURNAMENTS
How do I earn coins?
Playing matches is the easiest way to earn coins. You will also be able to place cards up for auction to earn coins. You can also earn coins by discarding items.
Why did I earn fewer coins in a match I won?
Every user has a Did-Not-Finish (DNF) Modifier. This multiplies the coins earned by a certain percentage. The more games the user completes, the higher the Modifier. So, if you won the match but have a lower DNF Modifier than your opponent, it is possible to receive fewer coins even though you won the match.
Each round of a Tournament also has a different multiplier. This also contributes to the amount of coins earned per match. If you enter a tournament round with a lower DNF multiplier, you will receive fewer coins for that match.
Someone quit on me, why did I lose contracts for the game?
Both users will lose contracts for the game. The user that stays in game will get a small amount of coins for game completion and their DNF multiplier will increase. The user that quit out will receive no coins and will have their DNF multiplier go down.
How often will new tournaments come out?
Every week after the launch day, Ultimate Team will release one Online and one Single Player Tournament under the Featured Tournaments Tab.
I won a tournament but did not win the team of the tournament. Why?
The Team of the Tournament bonus is awarded to the most skilled team in the finals based on a collection a skills, including goals scored, goals conceded, passing percentage, yellow cards, etc.
The tournament I was half way through expired? How do I finish the tournament?
If a Tournament expired while you were only part of the way through, then you're out of luck. Once a tournament expires, no user is able to enter that tournament. It is best to enter and beat the tournament as soon as possible before it expires.
Where can I find player info and stats?
Selecting My FUT 10 in the FUT 10 main menu there will be an option for Player stats.
SQUADS, CHEMISTRY AND RATING
Where do I go to create new squads?
Simply enter the Squads section of FUT 10 to view the active line up and select /. This will reveal the menu option Squad Selector. Enter Squad Selector and at the bottom of the squad list will be an option to create a new Squad.
To switch to these Squads, Simply highlight the desired squad and press / and you will be brought into that squad's line-up.
How many different squads can I create?
You can create 15 different squads. Added to this, you can rename every squad.
How much of an effect does chemistry have on a player?
The chemistry of a player has a significant effect. A gold team with bad chemistry will have a hard time beating a bronze team with perfect chemistry. Also, chemistry boosts affect the players who earn the chemistry (not evenly spread across the team as it was in FUT 09).
Why doesn't my Star Rating represent my Chemistry Level?
Your Star Rating is representation of the Overall rating of each player in the Squad. This is calculated from the players in the starting line-up and the subs bench. The Chemistry level is represented by how well each player works with each other. Gold players with an Overall Rating of 85 or higher that are not playing with players of the same club/league/nation will not have a very high Chemistry level but very high Star Rating.
Will I be able to customise my own formation in FUT 10?
There is a list of preset formations you can choose from. These formations can be changed in the Squads screen.
How do I extend a player's contract?
To access the contract, head to the squads screen and highlight any player. Select the / button then highlight and select Apply Item. All Training items are stored here.
Can I train my players? How?
To access the training items, head to the squads screen and highlight any player. Select the / button then highlight and select Apply Item.
How do I increase my player's Morale or Fitness?
Simply navigate to the Consumables Pile. Select the / button then highlight and select Apply Item. All Fitness and Morale training items are stored in here. Select the / buttons to navigate between players, Select the player you want and apply the desired Fitness or Morale Item.
How do I perform a Search?
Head to the Squads screen and highlight a player. Select the / button then select swap with my club.
Can I raise my player's overall rating?
The players' overall rating cannot be raised. Instead, training items give a temporary boost in a player's performance. The temporary boost will only last 1 match in FUT 10.
STORE AND ITEM PACKS
How come I can't buy Bronze packs with PSN money/Microsoft Points?
Bronze packs are not available for real money/Microsoft Points as they are a low costing pack. One online match will potentially give you enough coins for a Bronze pack.
Is it possible to purchase more item packs if I don't have enough coins?
You can use real money or Microsoft points to purchase packs if you do not have the coins.
Why didn't I receive a pack after purchasing it?
You may have temporarily been disconnected from the FUT 10 servers. Ensure you have not lost any real money or Microsoft Points. If you have lost real money or Microsoft Points simply re-enter the store and you will receive the pack you purchased.
I can't find the players I just got from a pack. Where are they?
The players received from a pack can be found in My Club. All the players are stored there. To quickly find and swap out players, head to the Squads screen and perform a search.
AUCTION AND TRADE PILE
My trade pile is empty, how do I put more items into my trade pile?
Enter the Club section or Squads section and highlight an item you wish to send to the trade pile. Select the / button and send to trade pile.
How many cards am I allowed to have up on the Auction House?
The most you can place into the trade pile is 30 items.
Is there a way to cancel an item I've put up in the auction?
There is no way to cancel the Auction once it has been placed.
My items in the Auction House have expired, where do I go to put them back up again?
Entering the Trade pile will notify you if your Auction has expired with no-one purchasing the item. Exiting Trade Pile will place the expired item back into the Available Items tab. This will allow you to place these items up for auction again.
I just won a stadium from the auctions. How do I make it my default stadium?
Stadiums, Balls, Staff and Kits are all stored in your Club. Enter the club and select the Stadiums/Balls Tab. Highlight the Stadium/Ball you want as a default. Select / to bring up the actions popup and select set as default.
CLUB
Why can't I see My Consumables in My Club?
The consumables are stored in a separate pile. To access the consumable pile head to the squads screen and highlight any player. Select the / button then highlight and select Apply Item. All consumable are stored here.
How do I change my Badge?
You can simply change your badge by finding the proper Badge in your Club. Navigate to the desired club in the desired league, Press / to bring up the popup and select "Make Active".
Where can I find my Kits?
Kits are stored in the Clubs section of the game. Navigate into the specific nation/league/club to find the kits. To make these kits active, Press / to bring up the popup and select "Make Active".

There are "in form" rare players cards in UT. Example current there is inform lampard card which has a higher rating than the normal lampard card. The 0"0' height is a typo error bug. It happens on other normal players cards too.

i keep playing matches and tournaments, but even when i win, it says i recieve coins but theyre never added to my account. the same thing happens when i sell players/cards. also, my wins/losses do not increase, and when i win a tournament, it doesnt add it to my trophy collection. can somebody tell me how to fix it? my gamertag is xITS OVER 9000z.
