2010 Fifa World Cup

EA has included 199 countries in the Fifa 2010 World Cup game. The gameplay has also been modified and improved I must honestly say.

More accurate penalty award decision
The most obvious improvement is the awarding of penalty kick in the penalty box for standing tackle trip or obstruction. In Fifa 10, it is really difficult to get a penalty even though your player is being tripped or obstructed unfairly. This improvement I must admit is really applauding.

Improved goal kick camera view
Taking short pass goal kick to your defender is now less risky. You are now able to adjust the direction of the short goal kick pass to your defender more accurately due to the change in the camera view while taking a goal kick.

More accurate corner kick header
Another obvious improvement is the corner kick header. Personally, I feel that it is now much easier to score from corner kicks than in Fifa 10. In Fifa 10, it is harder to score from corners, generally on the whole.

Ball shielding and fast turn tactis is nerf
The less obvious change in the gameplay is the ball shielding tactics. In Fifa 10, it is much easier to use the ball shielding tactics to shield the ball and also to make a quick fast turn into space. However in Fifa 2010 World Cup, it is now more difficult to shield and turn successfully. The opponent player will now have a higher chance to block a quick "ball shield" and "Turn" tactics.

Better defending AI
Also, the defending AI is also improved slightly I must say. It is now easier to defend than in Fifa 10 although one still need to learn the fundamentals of good defending tactics.

New penalty kick controls
Lastly, taking penalty kick is now much harder now due to a major change in how the penalty kick is taken. It is strongly advisable to practice the new penalty kick feature before you go in to a match. Otherwise, you will find it really frustrating to miss a penalty.

On the whole, the Fifa 2010 World Cup is a "must" have game for all soccer fans. Although there are still some graphics and game glitches, on the whole, the game is quite entertaining to be honest.
