Making a difference isn't always just 'bout the Benjamins, but if you can spare a few dollars it can help in a big way. Now it's even easier to donate--you can do it online at one of these sites!

The Jimmy Fund sponsors more than 500 diverse fundraising events. Take part in The Jimmy Fund Regatta, run a marathon or hit a home run in a softball tournament, all while raising money for cancer research and patient care.

Take The LIVESTRONG® Challenge! Join one of the many fundraising events around the country where you can walk, run or bicycle to raise money and awareness for cancer.

Spread The Word 

Encourage others to get involved by letting them know what you're up to!

1. E-mail or IM your friends and family and invite them to join you at a fundraising event.

2. Blog about the event. What did you like about it? How much money was raised? If you found it rewarding, let everyone know and encourage them to participate! (see example below)

3. Create a Lens to promote the event! (see example below)

4. Take pictures there and post them at a photo sharing site like Flickr to spread awareness! (see example below)

5. Why not make a video of the event you attend? Don't forget to post it to YouTube where you can share it with the world! (see example below)

When it comes to cancer, it pays to talk to your doctor. Your doctor is uniquely qualified to discuss prevention, the latest screening tests, what symptoms to look for, and more.

Not sure how to approach a conversation with your doctor? AARP has some guidelines you'll find useful in How To Talk To Your Doctor.
