    My daughter's children were removed from her home july 2011. They were removed because she let her sister and brother-in-law stay there after returning back from another state and had no place to go. The Sheriff's dept and DEA had been watching her sister and brother-in-law for drugs (meth). There was a big arrest made for the drugs in another town. My daughter had recently kicked out her sister and brother-in-law but all their belongings remained in my daughter's basement. which did include an empty camping propane cylinder some foil and i believe it said salt. At the time of the arrest they had CPS, DEA and sherriff's go to my daughters home and remove all the children and take them to the hospital for testing. NO meth was found in any of their systems. My daughter and her fiancee were also tested nothing was found in them either. Now Cps has my grandchildren. For the past year they have been making my daughter and her fiancee jump through hurdles to get their children back and she has been compliant with everything they have asked her to do. drug and alcohol classes, seeing a psychiatric dr. and any time they want urine or hair folical tests they have done it. Now in court because the charges of meth didn't stick they are telling her she is emtionally unstable because of depression!! Well of course the woman is depressed they have her children!! They have papers filled with nothing but lies. They are now telling my daughter she is not participating and speaking out in her classes and because of that they feel she is mentally unstable. My daughter has always been a very quiet person and doesn't speak a lot. I remember her 1st grade report card she was held back because of not speaking up in class. We had the children for a little over a week and my husband got the CPS worker mad because he told her from then on all her calls were going to be recorded because we caught her in a bunch of lies. The day we went to court and were given custody of the children we had gotten absolutely no court paperwork or any other paperwork from CPS. Well my daughter and her fiancee loaded up their vehicle and brought over the baby's high chair, her breathing machine, her toys and some clothes. We were yelled at by CPS because they didn't authorize a visit. I didn't know I needed their permission to let my daughter in my home, we had gotten nothing from them. CPS removed the children from us. Here it is almost a year later and my daughter still does not have her children. The oldest child now keeps talking about suicide so they placed her in a state Home for teen. What they are doing to these children is abuse if you ask me. It really stinks for people that don't have the money to hire a good attorney.

    almost to difficult to respond . my anger wells as i read on the many times families are destroyed, our children exposed to a foster system that breaks the bond between parent and child. yes , we are another heartbroken family, separated by lies and then suffering the abuse of power of cps. ultimately they, cps are guilty, absolutely negligent, in the quote " FAILURE TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE " we are just now attempting to get our family tragedy known , we had to wait until today as our son is now home for good. we want to expose the abuses of shasta county, calif. cps and hope to save other innocent families from the horrors, yes horrors, of this system. our story is long and incomprehensible just know they failed to protect our innocent children from much pain and suffering which was never a part of their loving home. please contact rc at rcclskk@hotmail.com if you can help us or join us in this fight against shasta county, ca, cps. we are looking for an atty to hear our case and see if others want to join in our case here in shasta county, calif.

    Would any news media be interested in doing a story on Child Protection Services corruption within the United States.? I live in Sumner County, Tennessee. Child and Protective Services has presented to the courts false whiteness testimony from so called interviews with my daughter. This information will be used against me in court. Child and Protective Services has used evidence fabrication by reporting to the judge threw case files, that I am stalking my own attorney, the CPS staff, and the foster mother, when in fact I have not!

    This is happening across America and needs to be stopped. The lying in courts, and coercing children’s testimony in written documents and forensic tapes, in order to allow courts to have children removed from their parent’s custody, needs to be stopped! I know MSNBC did a Documentary called Which Hunt that exposed some of this, but was said to be a problem twenty years ago, it is still going on today!

    This is what Senator Nancy Schaefer fought against before she died. She tried to shut them down all together. This is corruption at its highest level and should not be accepted here in America! Is there nothing that anyone can do? To stand by and watch the injustices done to children and families is reprehensible.

    Thanks for writing this. I did not realize it was so widespread and even worse in some other states than in California. Going to lensroll to Sarah: the Suicide of a Child and maybe a couple of related lenses. Police and fire officials are held accountable for their actions. Social workers aren't liable for the damage they cause, and their superiors protect them. They are conveniently on vacation or off if a lawyer wants to call one to a hearing.

    My life has also been ruined by this agency which
    on top of it's usual incompetence is being exploited on the part of our accusers as part of a personal vendetta. If you would place my
    site which I started to promote awareness, not only of my own bizarre case but of the cases of others I would greatly appreciate it. I likewise will be placing your link on my site. Together united we can overcome these injustices. My case is like something out of a movie but these things really happened to us, and are still happening to a certain extent. We have been denied true due process and our rights have been seriously hindered.

    cps took my children 4 of them ayear ago the placed my daughters together 2yrsand4yrs and my son1yr andhis brother 10 yrs together the foster mom who took the girls couldnt handle my 4yr old because she was rebelious about being taken from her family so she had her put on psyche meds to calm her down the mother and i objected but to no avail recently she came to a visit so druged up she couldn't hold her head up she was pale and her eyes rolled back in her head i called 911 and had her taken to the hospital she turned out to be ok but they discontinued the meds but that is what they do to children in foster care its a shame the state can abduct your children and put them any where they want to or give them any drugs they want to i dont feel like we live in a free contry its more like a police state if you dont have money to hire competant legal representation cps can steal your children all they have to do is get your address and lie thankyou for your time and fight for our rights

    my children were illegally stolen 6 yrs ago my ights tprd ,they are so dirty lie abuse families that even the court of appeals allowed my rights to be violated n supreme court they need to be shut down there funds cut children put back with their real parents inless abuse or severe neglect is proven not by hearsay or curcumstantial evidence or by lieing cps workers,foster care workers or att but by trial by jury n real proof help be given to these families not abuse of title ive funding

    You have a poll: Yes or No -does CPS do more harm than good?
    I think the question is wrong.
    How can we protect our families and our children?
    These set ups occur because somewhere, someone, identifies a need, an injustice, etc. Unfortunately the solutions many times create a life of their own and loose sight of its real purpose: To Protect - everything else is by the way, and protection has to work for our children and our families.
    Now, I have seen tremendous injustices to many people, but have also seen horrible things done to kids. All I can say, although I doubt if the money people would agree, is that each case (and the word case should be changed to each person) should be "helped"on individual merits. In other words, not as a statistic, but as people. Finally excessive power by whomever (could be a guardian or an official) is a no-no, cause the reasoning behind any action is no longer the reason for the action, and the action becomes the reason. (I hope that makes sense)

    I wish that some of you who come to complain her would have the guts to tell your WHOLE story because I simply do not believe that DHS/CPS has to make busy work for them selves. No foster care is not the ideal place you children. So maybe think about that before you even have kids, especially if you are too needy or f 'ed up to take care of then. Babies are not toys. And unlike puppies you can't just return them to the shelter. Do make sure you can keep a roof over your kids head(s) and keep a house clean and buy food regularly. Buy diapers BEFORE beer (or crack). THINK before the next time you do dope. Or before you move a new "daddy" into your house the day after you meet him. Before you let new "daddy" babysit while you go to work. CPS does not just show up to your house because they are having a "slow day". I am sure there are false accusations, but I suspect that most off the time including some of the cases posted here there is more to the story that the family is tellin

    I will tell you the truth. My 2 children were taken from me 6 years ago because of domestic violence and drug use. i needed help and i knew it, cps didnt offer me any help they just came and took my children. i screwed up and didnt do what they wanted me to do for 3 years. my daughter was adopted out after 1 1/2 years in the system.it took me 3 years to wake up and do what they wanted me to do. i know i was wrong, i should have done something sooner.but instead i sunk deeper ino my drug use. my son was not adoptable. so he has been to sevral different boys home, placed on seraquel- all that does is knock you out. He shouldnt even be in the system. when cps came to me my son was living at my parents house, enrolled in school by my mom and all his stuff was at her house. so why did he get put in the system? i dont know. so i fianlly do what cps wants. I have been clean and sober now for 3 years in july, have a home for 2 1/2 years now and have been at my job for almost 3 years. but is my son home with me? nope. now they are telling me its because of my sons behavior. its now my son who has to do something and behave. you know what? thats b.s. let me deal with my son. now i just found some of my sons email and he is doing drugs. i told the boys home, cps worker and social worker for his house. are they doing anything about it? nope. they say they dont see any signs of it. now me and my son are haveing problems and he has learned he is old enough now to use the courts to his benefit.so i feel like im fighting another battle again by myself. a loseing battle;. there is no reason he shouldnt be at home with me. my god its been 3 years ive been liveing a clean and sober and stable life, and he still isnt home. dont know what to do or where to turn. dont want to give up. i have came to far. but it seems like im fighting a loseing battle. if anyone can suggest what i should do or where i can get help PLEASE email me. dwyatt2009@yahoo.com. thanks.     IT IS VERY DISTURBING THAT YOU ASSUME THAT ALLEGATIONS MADE BY CPS WORKERS ARE AUTOMATICALLY TRUE. YOU HAVE BECOME JUDGE, JURY AND PROSECUTION BASED ON THE WORD OF 1 PERSON. MANY TIMES W/OUT PROOF OF EVIDENCE BUT BY PERPONDERANCE. IT IS AN OUTRAGE YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO STATE "BEFORE beer (or crack).     I have had CPS called on me by my ex for vengeful purposes. Nothing came of it so far they have left me alone. I know a woman that has had 4 foster kids at a time and the time she had the 4 kids plus her own child in a parked car sleeping (I hope) while she proceeded to take off her shirt and expose herself for some drunk guys across the street, she is a married "christian" woman. I was really surprised and reminded her that her kids were in the car. She responded, they are asleep She never did anything else weird like that but she is a really young, 22 at the time, and just not mature enough for foster kids.

    I have been fighting cps for 15 months now and they place them back and if my kids fall of come home from day care with a mark they yank them , now i had my baby in April 2009 and she didnt have a case they came and took her and didnt even know how to take care of a preemie and now my daughter is 3 months and on life support at cooks childrens hospital in Ft Worth Tx....please someone help me.......my number is 9407279051 and email is aliasbabygurl@ymail.com

    My girls were kidnapped from me. The investigator failed to investigate, he threatened me into signing his "safety" plan. He told me "If you don't sign it, I'll get the judge to order it" giving me no realistic alternative. Abuse of his power, he has lied, left out exculpatory evidence, the caseworker has lied, is bias, our 4th and 14th amendment rights violated, parental rights, and children's right. Our case started because of one fight my boyfriend and I got into. It has been ruled in federal court unconstitutional to remove children solely on domestic violence, unconstitutional to force separation of children from the non offending parent, and so on!!! CPS must be stopped.

    i think DHS and the Judges as well as county attorney and attorney general guardian ad litem and theriaspt should be proscuded they all should get federal prision the suprreme courts they are just as gulity and these useless laywers should be banned from practicing law if they an't help a person these laywers are useless they are scared of their own shadow

    Hello jamie, I know the heart tearing you are going through. You must hire a good private attorney (not just a court appointed attorney, after all who is paying them-they will not do more than a 9-5 job if that). Maybe you can work with an attorney on drawing up custody papers for you to have your children returned. Be careful CPS is gathering information while you are in cooperation with them. This information will be used against you later in court.

    My grandchildren have been taken from my daughter because she caught her husband molesting her daughter. What we learned since is the most horrible thing ever. He was abusing all 3 of his girls with not one person seeing signs of abuse including his family. CPS has now taken my grandchildren from my daughter saying she had knowledge and did nothing about it. She never knew this was happening and no proof of it, she is an awesome mother and it has only been a month since this has happened, the girls have been gone for just 3 wks and CPS is already trying to take all of the rights to them away from my daughter. See saw them this afternoon and my youngest granddaughter won't even talk and the oldest one is yanking her teeth out of her mouth. Courtdate is April 6th and we need all of the help we can get...any ideas please let me know!!!!! Thank you!!!

    I am currently going throu somthing with cps. Today they pulled my six year old son out of his class room at school. I was not informed by cps or the school. can they do that? I do not know my rights! HELP!!

    i fought with TN's cps from 2-21-07 till 11-20-08 when i finally regained custody. i went thru 4 court appointed attorneys who refused to do a thing to protect my family rights let alone my legal rights. i will be glad to share my story to anyone who will listen and needs support or hope of their own. mary 615-896-5983.

    I am trying to go through the motions of closing my case, but to be honest, I know all they want is to keep you in the system for as long as they can. I loooooovvveeee my kids to death and everyone around me will tell you...there is not a thing that I would not do for my chilldren and anyone else's. CPS has truly made me feel like the lowest person on the planet with their accusations and misleading ways. I am hurt that my children and I have to go through this, I am trying to keep faith in god that he will see me and my babies through this. ALL OF YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS....

    ME AND MY WIFE HAD OUR 2 GIRLS KIDNAPPED 7 YRS AGO ON A LIE MY OLDEST GIRL TOLD THEM. SHE HAS TRIED TO TELL THEM SHE LIED ABOUT IT BUT THEY WONT LISTEN TO HER. OUR YOUNGER GIRL IS 12 AND IS IN A FOSTER HOME AND WILL BE TIL 18. WE TRIED A LAWYER BUT THAT DID NO GOOD THE ONLY OTHER OPTION IS TAKING OUR DAUGHTER BACK BUT THAT WOULD ONLY BRING KIDNAPPING CHARGES AGAINST US. BUT IT SHOULD BE THE SOCIAL WORKERS AND JUDGES THAT SHOULD GET LIFE IN PRISON FOR KIDNAPPING OUR GIRLS!!!!!

    In Nov. 2005 my kids were taken for allegations made against me. Not my husband. My daughter's bio "dad" who met her for the first time when she was 8 1/2 (she is 12 now) and his wife decided that they wanted her. His sister-in-law is a social worker. My son was 5 and had never spent a night without at least one of us was left in a foster home without even his sister who was removed from the foster home 7 days after being taken and sent to live with "dad". CPS wanted to close the case on her and let him keep her but keep the case on my son. We fought them every step of the way but did what they wanted us to do after our "trial". 9 months later our kids came home. An attorney that was supposed to file a civil suit for us told me how lucky we were because after reading our papers, they weren't going to give my son back. I figured that out when I was getting papers together for the attorney. 3 years later, how hard it is to get thru some days.Post tramatic stress.They need to be stopped.

    We need to find a way to stop the unlicenced social workers, volunteer guardian ad litem. The reason these workers want the children adopted by fostercare is that the state, county workers, and foster parents each get a bonus when the adoption is final. Dont forget that the new adopted family get a check each month between $500.00 to $1500.00 a month.
    I have been fighting for custody of my grandchild since october 2006 still no luck I saw my grandchild once for 1 hour supervised of course. If anyone has any suggestions pleas let me know..

    I believe CPS is the most corrupt, government subsidized baby-stealing racket imaginable. Children who are attractive are coveted, CPS colludes with the so-called foster parent, money is exchanged all around, adoption follows. There is nothing there indicating that the natural parents did anything wrong at all but many lies are told and false conclusions drawn. CPS is racist, prejudiced against poor people, and completely illegal. Stealing children to sell for profit is not in the best interest of anybody except CPS with their pockets full of ill-gotten gains. How much denial does it take to pretend they are doing the children a favor?

    We need to have the state actors who are steealing children to be brought to justice. These people from CPS are criminals and need to be treated as such. Here in Utah we are trying to get Grand Jury Hearings. The U.S. Attorneys Office is looking the other way. God Bless everyone who has been affected by CPS.     ie: www1.dshs.wa.gov also do a search engine on dshs intranet. What I have discovered is priceless and keeps CPS running scared. Due to graduate as a paralegal and take my fight up a notch. Go to the manuals listed in the children's administration. Call CPS on their policies and operations violations not to mention the violations on laws RCW's and WAC's. DO A FAIR HEARING some workers have been fired for not doing their jobs right. I had an incompetent cps worker at the beginning and the cream of the crop towards the end and they still have not broken me. PARENTS: NEVER GIVE UP THE GOOD FIGHT.

    FRANKLIN COUNTY CPS RECEIVED ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE AGAINST MY MENTALLY HANDICAPPED SON.
    WHO HAS SERVICES IN PLACE WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BOARD OF MENTAL RETARDATION AND DEVELOPMENTALLY HANDICAPPED THESE SERVICES CONSISTED OF 9-24 HOURS OF SUPPORT STAFF BEING WITH HIM. HER ALLEGATIONS OPENED AN INVESTIGATION,(ONE SIDED OF COURSE) INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO THE SOCIAL WORKER AND THE DETECTIVE SHOW HE DID NOT HAVE CONTACT WITH MY GRANDSON. THEY ALREADY HAD THEIR MINDS MADE UP HE WAS GUILTY. HE WAS ACTUALLY INDICTED ON CHARGES A YEAR LATER,2007. AT THE SAME TIME IN DECEMBER OF 2007 THEY REMOVED MY GRANDSON FROM THE MOTHERS CUSTODY(THE ONE THAT MADE THE ALLEGATIONS) HE WAS PLACE IN A FACILITY. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY CONTACT NOW WITH MY GRANDSON FOR 2 YEARS. MY MENTALLY HANDICAPPED SON WAS TRIED AND CONVICTED 2008 AND SITS IN JAIL WAITING TO BE SENTENCED(COULD BE LIFE) FOR SOMETHING HE HAS NOT DONE. THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES................

    My husband and I to are under the demands of CPS. This month will be a year since our children have been taken away with very little progress. It all started when my husband and stepdaughter got into it and I stepped in and then he spanked me. I told my stepdaughter to go to the basement and my husband was still mad and wanted to spank her. I blocked him and he tried to go around me and I lost my footage and fell down the basement stairs. It made me mad so I got him to go pick up the other daughter at her friends house and had the neighbors call the cops. He was arrested and I put a protective order against him at the advice of a friend. Big mistake! CPS came and made a horrible report filled with all kind of lied and took our two daughters and put them in foster care. They have twisted ever thing all around and it will be a year this month since they were taken. The girls want to come home but can't till CPS thinks they should there is a lot more to our story. Help! Legal kidnapping.
