Fighting Fantasy Books - The excellent series of interactive fiction

I read my first Fighting Fantasy Book back when I was a young boy at school and I soon became addicted to their quirkyness and originality. They allow you to play in a world much like you would on a computer game today, however all in the space of one book, they didnt need state of the art technology, all they required was a love for fantasy, a set of dice, and a creative imagination, where there were no pictures.

My favorite book out of all had to be Deathtrap Dungeon, which was also released on the PC as a video game.

Fighting Fantasy books are a fiction fantasy book with a difference as you take control of the lead character and are thrown into a world where you can only carry on if your character stays alive. You play the character whilst reading the book and you decide hoe the book pans out by taking choices and making decisions as to what direction to go next.
