Another great lens! My 10 year old daughter is struggling to learn math. I've been searching for something that might work for her. I think I'll get her some lap books and see if that helps. Blessings!

When I was a teacher, I created file folder games on each subject and placed them in a center for small group and individual work.

I've never homeschooled, but this looks very helpful for any child, even as a fun non-school, rainy-day, snowy-day, bored-to-tears day activity!

A great collection. We have some we printed off a couple of years ago that J. seems to really like.

I hadn't come across this term before, but there's some great stuff here. Will definitely try some of these with my kids aged 2 and nearly 4.

Great idea and a valuable resource!

May I offer a tiny suggestion? I wasn't clear what "File Folder Math" was until farther down the page. Maybe explain what it is before you start pushing people towards links and books? I don't know. Also remember that text in module headers and subheaders draw search engine traffic: exploit that leverage!

Thank you for the tips! I really appreciate it. I keep forgetting that it isn't always other elementary school educators reading my pages. lol!!!

I could have used this even though I was in regular school. I had a really hard time with math once we got to multiplication tables.
  • GonnaFly Oct 13, 2010 @ 1:33 am | delete

Great info! My sister could have used this growing up -- she HATED math! LOL This makes it sound interesting and fun.
