1. Credit Counseling Services: Make sure that you at least speak to someone in a credit counseling service to find out what your options are. They may be able to work with your creditors to reduce your payments and lower your interest rates.

2. Call Your Creditors: You will be amazed at how much your creditors can be sympathetic to your circumstances. If you let them know your situation; then they may be willing to lower your payments or even give you a couple of months without making payments to get back on your feet.

3. Make More Money: This one is a given; if you are not currently making enough money to make your monthly payments; then it is time to find a way to make more money.
