It is very easy to use and comes with many features. It can be used to manage personal finance data. I really suggest it for families and people who want to track down their expenses and incomes easily :) - Quicken - Quickbooks

Quicken - Quickbooks is a very rich/complex software package and can be used by both businesses and privates. It is one of the most popular/common accountant software in US. Highly recommended. - Moneydance

MoneyDance is a personal finance software application developed by Reilly Technologies, USA. It's mainly a Java application and therefore can be run under multiple OSes. Recommended if you are using Linux or Mac. - MYOB

MYOB is a very good commercial package and extensively used in Oceania. It is often a "must" when applying for an accountant job. - GnuCash

Personal Software Finance is a package which will come with two versions. One for personal use and other for accountants.
Accounting job
Accounting is not an easy job and requires specific skills. Based on my experience, I can tell that in order to be an accountant you need to know how to use software pretty well. There are very nice software packages out there and if you know how to use them, it will be much easier to handle finance data.
