Where to find Free Blog Giveaways

The key to finding great blog giveaways is finding where the blog owners advertise their giveaways. The most obvious place is in the bigger online sweepstakes directories, such as Online Sweepstakes and Sweepstakes Advantage. These directories list all types of contests and sweepstakes, not just blog giveaways. It can be difficult wading through the listings looking for blog giveaways unless you know a couple of tricks to make your search easier. More on that in a little bit.

Another place that blog owners advertise their giveaways is on blog giveaway directories. These are blogs that specialize in providing information on giveaways to other bloggers. The disadvantage of looking for blog giveaways here is that the giveaways are generally not sorted. That being said, browsing through the giveaways can yield some surprises. You might find some great prizes you would have never discovered otherwise.

Many blog owners who run giveaways also advertise them on blog giveaway linkys. Giveaway linkys are a special type of form placed on a blog where others can advertise their own giveaways. The list is instantly available for browsing by anyone who visits that blog. This is a popular method of advertising for blog owners.

Last but not least, you can search directly on various search engines.

Searching through huge sweepstakes directories can be tedious if you are looking only for blog giveaways.



Sweepstakes Advantage can be filtered to show only blog giveaways. Click on Blog Giveaway under Browse Sweepstakes by Category.

Online Sweepstakes has around 7000 sweeps listed at any given time. Around 2000 of these listings are for blog giveaways. It can be overwhelming at first to try to find the blog giveaways if you don't know how to search. Fortunately, Online Sweepstakes has built-in filters that can help you find blog giveaways with just a few clicks.

On the right column, near the bottom, you will find the "blogs" category under the heading Types of Sweepstakes & Contests. Click on that and you will see all the blog giveaways listed there.



That's still 2000. So if you want to narrow it down a bit, you can search by prize category, then filter that.
For example, to narrow down the 500+ sweeps in the kids category, click on the drop down menu to filter it to show only blog giveaways.



You can also search for a specific prize and then filter it to show only the blog giveaways as explained above. I find both these methods easier than just searching through all 2000 blog giveaways.

There are over 100 Giveaway Linkies where you can browse the latest blog giveaways. The giveaways are usually formatted with Blog Name - Prize - End Date to make it easier to see at a glance which ones you want to enter. These are very useful, because some blog owners don't know that they can add their giveaway to the big online sweeps directories. So you can come across some giveaways that don't have very many entries by browsing the linkies.

Last, but not least, you can search directly. I recommend Swagbucks. You can earn Amazon gift cards and other prizes just for performing the searches that you would complete on a daily basis. I average $10 a month in Amazon gift card and that is with no referrals. Search for the prize you want along with the phrase "blog giveaways". Narrow it down further by including the month and year. This will filter out the giveaways that have already expired.

Tip: Search for "first giveaway" to find blogs that have just started running giveaways. These often have very few entries which means you have a much better chance of winning!
