How to Find the Perfect Mate

By Melvin L Davis

Have you ever thought about it that one of your friends might be the perfect mate for you? You know that specific person you turn to every time one of your phony dream companions leaves you and your heart is broken. I'm talking about those times when your head is in a continuous spin and your life is a chaos of bad memories. You see if we were not so materialistic and hung up on the physical image of our chosen one, life would be more pleasant for you. It's a decision to make to determine whether you want to be happy or continue to feel bad.

As a teen there were people that you idolized; there were some that you had a crush on and lusted over. When you got to the level where you realized that the bodily outside did not necessary match what was on the inside, it was still hard for you to resisted going after the good looking one. Regrettably, this was and still is for some; a hard lesson to learn even thought we had our heart broken many times. If you continue to look for a mate by the way they look, there will surely be some more bad days for you. Investigate some of the situations where you see one mate that looks godly and the other one look like they've been hit by a train. They looked to be so happy. What is the secret?

Before you get involved in a relationship, you should take a look into the future to figure out what do you want out of life. You have to know your personality, wants, goals, and especially know yourself. If you don't figure these out and you add another person to the mixture, there will be times when you will not know if you are coming or going. Be realistic about the situation, would you want to have a mate that will never be involved in your activities. I would think not! Remember your dreams, will there be a problem reaching them if you don't have the right mate.

There are different personalities that you will encounter daily. You must think about your personality and the character of your potential mate. If you are a person that likes to laugh a lot, surely you will not try to match up with a person that can't stand any laughter at all. You might as well know that you are setting yourself up for failure if this is the case. Sometimes you let your fantasizing control what you think you want your mate to look like and the type of person they should be. Fair warning, wait until you come down from "cloud 9" before you make any major decisions. Another thing you have to keep in mind is what you want and what you need will more than likely be totally opposite of each other. All of us at one time or other has imagined ourselves being made known to be someone that we are not. So as the saying goes, "Keep It Real!"

Reevaluate your requirements. Make the necessary changes that will bring you out the dream to the actual world that you are living in. It's alright to fantasize and to have dreams, just make sure you can tell the difference. Remember there is a distinction between a true mate and a fantasy. Enjoy your life!

Life can be fun and it can be very complicated at the same time. Most of the time you try to live in a way that you can look bad and say, I've really enjoyed being a part of your life. Likewise, they will feel the same way. You have to concentrate, think with a clear mind and do some research when you are choosing you soul mate. Good hunting!
