Finding Birth Parents: Now it's Easy!

Find your Birth Parents This Weekend!

One of the advantages of becoming a police officer, is having the tools, and the ability to find anyone, anywhere. We find missing children, missing pets, missing parents, and missing... birth parents! Yes, Birth Parents!

It's estimated that 2% of the U.S. population, or about 6 million Americans, are adoptees. Including biological parents, adoptive parents, and siblings. This means that 1 in 8 Americans are directly touched by adoption.

Surveys show that a large majority of these adoptees and birth parents have, at some point, actively searched for biological parents or children separated by adoption. They search for many different reasons, including medical knowledge, the desire to know more about the individual's life, or a major life event, such as the death of an adoptive parent or the birth of a child. The most common reason given, however, is genetic curiosity - a desire to find what a birth parent or child looks like, their talents, and their personality.

Whatever your reasons for deciding to start an adoption search, it is important to realize that it will most likely be a difficult, emotional adventure, full of amazing highs and frustrating lows.

First; If you know what hospital you were born in, try contacting their records department. You may get lucky and find a compassionate person there who is willing to look up your birth record. It never hurts to try.

Second; If you have a medical condition and you want to find out your family medical history and your birth records are sealed, the only way you can get your birth records is through the court process. Hiring an attorney is very, very expensive, and it offers no guarantees.

If you have a good relationship with your adopted mother (or father), simply ask them questions about your birth parents and write down the information.

One of my favorite tasks as a police officer, is having the tools and the ability to find birth parents. The public now has access to one of the best tools available for finding birth parents!

One of the best tools for Finding Birth Parents is the Locate People - Anyone, Anywhere Database with more than ONE BILLION Records!

With some simple information to go on, this AWESOME online tool can help you find your birth mother, or your birth father in minutes without an expensive attorney, police officer, or private detective!

Happy Reunion!
