Soap-making oils usually fall into 3 catagories
There are more but I will cover the 3 most basic oils.
1. Carrier oils
2. Essential oils
3. Fragrance oils
Essential oils and carrier oils are concentrated and are extracted from the roots, flowers, or the plant itself, making them "natural" oils. These oils should not be used alone on the skin and should be mixed with other natural oils to avoid irritation on some skin types.
Fragrance oils are less natural, they are blended, sometimes with synthetic ingredients.
Read your labels carefully.
