Finger Foods Are Perfect For Parties
Every party needs good food, but you want the right kinds of foods at yours including lots of delicious finger foods. Finger foods are small food items that can be picked up, with the fingers and eaten, usually in one or two bites. If you are catering the event yourself, they you may not have the time or storage to prepare all these little goodies which is why hiring a finger food caterer can be a smart move.
When contacting a caterer for such an order it is a good idea to explain to them the type of affair involved and then ask to see their menu. Don't be afraid to pick out the foods you want and make plans to come back later on to taste a sample of the items they will be serving. Once the selections are made you will be required to leave deposit and sign a contract.
Bear in mind that there can be a big difference in the price of different finger foods so be sure to ask which ones are in your price range. You won't get caviar for the price of stuffed celery. But even the least expensive items on the menu should be presented in a way that looks good to your guests.

Finger Food Serving Tips
These types of finger foods usually sit on the table for most of the evening to let guests pick at them. Some dishes may not maintain their attractive appearance when sitting around at room temperature for a long time. For this reason, the time the food will arrive is always important.
Set them out on silver trays or white platters on a table with a plain white tablecloth for best effect. Make them easy to grab with tongs or toothpicks so that your guests don't have to put their fingers all over everyone elses food.
