Visiting wineries is one of the most popular activities for visitors to the Finger Lakes. They offer the opportunity to taste fine wines in the second-largest wine-growing region in the country, with over 70 wineries within a one-hour drive radius. Many wineries also offer cellar tours, vineyard tours, cafes and restaurants, picnic areas, art galleries, and unique wine and gift shops.

WINERIES

This spectacular lake home was built in 1885, and was used as a wine cellar for several years. Additional living space was added in 1978, and the entire home was recently remodeled by the current owner.

The first floor has many attractive features. A small staircase leads from the parking area into a beautiful cedar sun porch, and offers an exceptional view of Canandaigua Lake through the tall glass windows. There is access to the deck over the garage from this room, which is a fine area for outdoor meals during the summer.

The breakfast room is located to the right, overlooks the lake, and has a table with seating for 4. Located in the rear is a spacious bedroom with queen bed and skylight for added lighting, and a full bathroom with shower/tub combo.

Up the carpeted staircase are three additional bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. One of the bedrooms has a lake view, and all are stylishly decorated. There is also a full bathroom with shower/tub combo located on this floor.

The waterfront is just across the quiet access road, and features a level lawn, covered gazebo with patio furniture, some natural lakefront with gradual depth for excellent swimming, dock, and boat hoist. A state boat launch and marina are only a few miles away, so feel free to bring your boat or rentals are available. The fishing is excellent in this part of the lake!
