Texas Oil Refinery Explosion
Last weeks Explosion at the Texas Oil refinery was a terrible accident that injured 5 workers and sent one man to the hospital for serious burns. This refinery is 78 years old, holds 170 employees and stores around 70,000 barrel per day.
The most interesting aspect of this incident has many people wondering if it will lead to higher gas prices or any effect on the markets oil. The economy has been very sensitive to any events that involve refineries and critics are curious to see what this weekends gas prices will bring.

Man Convicted For Starting 2006 California WildFires
Steven Butcher (a homeless man) was convicted Friday in federal court of starting a 2006 wildfires in California. These fires burned more than 163,000 acres in California's Los Padres National Forest.
Butcher was first charged last August in starting nine wildfires that together burned hundreds of thousands of acres in California.
Since this conviction seven other people and two companies have been accused of their roles in promoting these horrific fires.

500lbs man suing New York Fire Dept.
According to firefighters on the scene during an emergency evacuation, this man fell down a flight of stairs. In order to assist this man safety out of the building fire fighters had to rig a plywood pulley system to ease him down the stairs. Unfortunately he was not secured to the plywood and now he is suing for $5 million. He was able to get assisted away from the emergency by the firefighters

Arson hits Atlanta Warehouse
43,000 square foot building took fire early morning on Monday. No injuries or deaths were reported but it took teams of fire fighters to smother out the raging fire.
Apparently the building owners were had made previous plans to renovate over 90% of the warehouse and this could have led to someone trying to get a little more financial assistance to fund this renovation.

South Carolina Fires
Wild fires tear through Conway South Carolina. Due to the souths dry spell these raging fires broke out and hundreds have been put out their homes and many highways have been completely shut down.
With winds gusting up to 60mph and the fire going as high as the tops of the trees many victims found it difficult escaping the vast spread these fires were emitting.
With more than 100 firefighters working on trying smother out these terrible fires, the hope is dwindling. The winds have been such a igniting force feeding the fires blaze preventing anyone from completely shutting out these fires.
Due to these horrific fires, all of North Carolina is under a red flag meaning no is permitted to burn anything outside. That is how sensitive and severe this hostile situation has become.
Over 100 fires have been officially reported throughout the south.

Dozens have been seriously injured with unreported deaths in the terrible tragedy that occurred in Savannah Georgia last week. The fire broke out around 7:00pm and within hours there were huge numbers of people from the surrounding area to lend a helping hand.

The source of this massive explosion has not yet been verified. Firefighters were continuing this morning to smother out the blazing fires that still remained in the silos of this refinery.
The Coast Guard has lent their assistance on this emergency and have dumped massive quantities of water through pumps to subside this massive fire.
More than 8 inches of water swamped the lower floors via the sprinkler system to extinguish the fires
As of right now inspection is being focused on the dust particles that could have sparked or ignited in some way. The true source is not yet known.
