And I say if it works because there are a number of these blog networks that have been and gone over the past couple of years. Some have been ridiculously expensive, try $200 plus and others have been slightly cheaper but have had many internal problems that have forced them to shut down. In this short Firepow review of the blog network I will go into the good and bad of this way to get backlinks.

The Truth Is Simple

Forget what other people have told you in the past because all you need to do to achieve solid rankings in the search engines is to follow the rule of 10% on page optimization (content) and 90% off page optimization. The 90% is links, lots and lots of links...but quality ones.

This is why I am absolutely stoked Andrew included this with Firepow because being able to get one way links all from the Firepow central user panel is a major time saver and a powerful way to get onto Google's front page and increase traffic.

How Does It Work?

Basically when you log into the Firepow control panel, you will click on the blog network tab, from there you will relevant sites and categories from a list. You will then add a short piece of text (100 words) with your anchor text keyword in the text and then this will be a post on one of the sites in the blog network giving you a one way link back to your site.

The Good

For this blogging network to work Firepow must have access to a wide range of blogs, now I'm talking 100's and more will need to be added all the time to keep the network fresh. Also it's much more beneficial if the blogs that your posts and links will be on have an aged domain (they have been around for a few years), and also have page rank (anywhere from 2 higher is acceptable).

So far I have been able to confirm that new blogs added to it on a weekly or monthly basis and that it will be moderated to except only unique content that isn't spun. This is good to hear because if duplicate content is being used then the network will eventually lose value and page rank and suffer from duplicate content penalties. Having fresh blogs added to the network will mean more opportunities to blast your links across the net and getting greater linking juice power.

So if the blogs used are all on different IP addresses, have page rank, aged domains and continue to get fresh blogs added to it as well as enforcing a rule for no duplicate content then Firepow's blog network should be a very powerful way to get high quality one way links back to your blog quickly and easily without spending a fortune on buying links.

The Bad

By now you should have realized some of my concerns but I will go over a few More.

If the blogs that are in the Firepow network are from bad neighborhoods (penalized sites) then getting links back from them could seriously harm your site and cause you to get de-indexed. This would be very bad indeed. So a thorough screening must be done to make sure the networks are safe and more importantly, remain safe.

My other major concern is the security of the network. If it is not well hidden and safe then Google could easily see a pattern with what Firepow is doing and leave a major footprint for them to find all the sites in the network and de-index them. This sounds drastic but it has happened and could easily happen again.

So in wrapping this up I am sure the blog network will be run smoothly and will be a great hit as Andrew Hansen is an experienced Internet marketer and has a great team of coders on board to help him out.

To be honest even without the blog network Firepow would still be an amazing investment for all the amazing things it can do. The blog network should be looked at as a bonus and if it works out it will be a powerful weapon to get you into the top rankings of Google quickly and without fuss.

Plug Me In...

This is one thing that I am really excited about are the 17 custom made plugins that were created especially for Firepow users.

So far 5 have been revealed which are:

1. Camtasia plugin: which will let you add Camptasia video's easily (it is very hard without this plugin).
2. Theme generator: this will let you create a beautiful looking theme from scratch and modify it to suit your every need, style and appearance.
3. SEO Boost: This will let you add h1 and h2 tags to your keywords so you will get ranked higher for them. Wordpress usually screws this up without this plugin.
4. Testit: Split testing on Wordpress...seriously cool!
5. Scrolling sidebar: lets you show all your hottest posts in a dynamic fashion rather than statically in your sidebar. Your posts will change at set intervals and display your best posts.

Another thing I am really happy about is the fact that there are over 100 of the best Wordpress plugins all ready on a list in the Firepow central user panel for you to instantly install on your blog with a click of a button. Too easy!

Plug Me Out...

My only concern is the maintenance of all these plugins. Wordpress changes all the time and even on small updates plugins become obsolete and stop working.

So Andrew has got to have a dedicated number of people who are monitoring everything and able to make quick changes to the software if anything stops working or gets updated.

This will be something ongoing as well it will need to be monitored pretty much forever otherwise the power behind this software will falter.

So if these concerns are addressed then these powerful plugin features are going to be such a time saver and really a great way to tweak your blog to be the best that it can be.

Andrew Hansen's Firepow software also includes access to a powerful task manager which is activated once you access your Firepow account.

The idea is you program in the set things you need to do ahead of time and when you log in to your account the task manager fire's up and will tell you what you need to do and when. It will then offer you the chance to do it by asking "To complete task now click here".

I love this idea because say if I want to my link to directories to boost my search engine rankings I don't want to do this all at once I want to spread it out over time so it looks natural. So I would program this ahead of time so the task manager would let me add 3-5 links a day for instance.

The things you can program in with the task manager and unlimited. From posting on certain days, getting one way links from the blog network, submitting rss feeds, bookmarking sites or submitting articles to the directories. All this can be done with a helpful little reminder from your secretary AKA Firepow task manager.

This is an ebook that helped me a lot with content generation and since niche sites are all about content it's important to get it down pat. I don't read the ebook anymore as I have learnt and applied everything in it but I do use the included video of Andrew Hansen writing and article on the fly quite frequently. 4. Plug And Play Niche Marketing

This product by Andrew Hansen has always intrigued me and I would have probably purchased it already but have too much on my plate. It is a bit expensive and has received mixed reviews. I actually think just Niche Marketing On Crack is more than enough.
