Make sure you compliment her. She has just spent a lot of time getting ready too, not just you. Sometimes compliments show that you are trying too hard, but be careful of the wrong facial expression. This can make everything fall apart even before it has begun. There is nothing wrong with practicing in the mirror.

If you are wowed the first time you see her, this does not need practice. Stuttering is effective, but don't practice that, it will all come natural. When starting the car, ensure you didn't leave the radio too loud. This is not good start. Ask her when you get in, what kind of music she likes and turn it to that station. This can also be a hint of what's to come in the future. It is amazing how many arguments can start from music.

Things to say while you are on your way to your first date. You can again use one of the questions we provided here or talk about something that happened to you today on the way there or at work. Something you seen on the news, heard on the radio, I am sure you can think of something.

When you get where you are going, again, ensure you lead her through the door.

Now it all depends on what you are doing on your first date. You may be going to dinner or just out to have fun, like to a pub or a club. Whatever it is, ensure you are happy to be with them.

If you run into someone you know, make sure you introduce her, and there is no need to state it is your first date. She does have a name. Remember also, you are here with her and not for a catch up session with whom you have run into. Be polite and nicely state to the acquaintance that you will call them/email them and continue with your date. This will show that you are interested in continuing with your date, not trying to escape it.

-If you smoke make sure you ask if she minds first, which I am sure she will ask you if she does. And if you don't like smokers, it is your choice to not make a second date, don't ruin it now

-Don't stare, especially at certain body parts that you find very attractive.

-Keep a conversation going, even if you notice that you/she are running out of things to say.

What questions should you ask without seeming too nosey or too intrusive, especially for a first date? These are some really good questions to ask to find out more about your date. These are just some casual questions anyone would ask to get to know someone without them thinking you are investigating:

1. If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would it be? The answers could be very interesting, but at the same time, give you an idea of what types of things/people he or she is interested in.

2. Where do you want to be in 5 years? This will give you a general idea of what type of aspirations/goals he or she may have. Which, in turn, can be completely opposite/match for what you have in mind.

3. What is your most prized possession? Now, if the answer is something like, "my beer bottle collection" you can assume a few things from this.

4. What kind of music do you like? This can prepare you for future concerts, or on long car trips with the stereo on. Question is, do you want to listen to it all the time?

5. What do your parents do? This shows the interest in family, also their answer can tell you a lot about how they feel about their family.

6. What do you do for a living? This can show you if they are already set in their careers or if they are still trying to find their real niche. Be careful though, they still may be attending school or planning for more schooling to then create their career path. Be sure to keep this a very open conversation, especially when you may find out they are working somewhere you do not find desirable, this doesn't always mean they do not have any aspirations.

7. Where have you travelled? This can be a very interesting question to ask or answer. Someone will always mention the most memorable place first. You may be very surprised with the answer, as it may be exactly where you, yourself has always wanted to go, or a place you have already been. It can be a very big conversation starter.

8. How was your day? This can be a very important question to ask. This can show you if the person is someone who does like to complain about everything, or if they actually enjoy a lot of things. Work and daily life can be challenging, but when you stop and think about it, it will always be a learning experience. It all depends on how each person perceives it.

9. Do you own any pets? You would be amazed with this question. So may people love their pets so much. Now, again, this question might turn out to be a NO. But if it does, the next question could be, Why not?

10. What was your most embarrassing moment? Now, this one I would save closer to the end. The reason, it can tell you how much the other person is enjoying what you have so far. If they do not reveal anything, maybe things aren't going so well.

Now I am not saying these are the only questions, I just think they are some of the best.

You can figure out a lot about someone by asking the right questions. It's your date and it is up to you to decide what questions are appropriate. These will at least help you on your way.

I didn't think I would use it, because I thought it would be a huge adjustment going from a book to a screen. But as I said before, it is the best purchase I have ever made.

I just picked up the new version which is now 3G wireless and has a 9.7" screen. The battery life is astronomical. It lasts 1 week without charging, where the older model would only last for about 4 days! You can rotate the screen to allow you to read in landscape automatically. The older model only would allow 1,500 books, where the new model allows 3, 500.

The best thing in both KINDLE's are that you can change it to read to YOU!! That's right, if you have to run out the door and you still want to find out what happens in the next chapter, just take it with you the car and put the earphones in and listen to the book while you are driving.

The best part was, I was the first out of anyone I knew to have one. They all thought it was the coolest thing. Everyone wanted to borrow it.

Below, I have listed both versions of the KINDLE. Again, the new model is amazing, but if you do not need all the bells and whistles, the smaller version is perfect for you.
