First steps into the Zazzle World

Flowers, Plants and a Chinese Teahouse

It is almost a year now that I've registered with Squidoo. I have been reading quite a lot of lenses, creating some, too, and suddenly there was Zazzle. Quite a lot of people, who create squidoo pages, have pages about their zazzle shops, and I enjoyed going through those pages and looking at all the well made various designs.

But it never came across my mind that I would be able to create so many wonderful products. I registered with zazzle, but my store remained empty. It remained empty until that day in autumn when I overcame my resistance and made the first step. I created one product and there it was, sitting lonely in my store for some months.

Then I bought Photoshop Elements 8 and had much fun playing around with it. Why not creating Zazzle products with it, said my courageous inner me, and I did it.

So here is my first squidoo page about my Zazzle shop. I hope you will enjoy it!

A calming space

Pond with waterlilies

Last summer I often went to the "Britzer Garten" ("Britz Garden") in Berlin, a wonderful park in the south of Berlin. There is also a lake in this park (or should I say "pond"?), and parts of that lake are covered by the green leaves of the water lily.

I could not but take a photo - and just looking at this photo soothes my eyes and my soul.

The beauty of roses

Roses everywhere

I am still taking photos with my old digital camera from the year 2004. I love my Canon A 75, but sometimes, not very often, I wish I had a newer, better camera. Since the last year I have been trying my best to capture the beauty of flowers in macro shots. I am so glad that with a digital camera you can throw away bad photos without losing money - I really had my difficulties with macros!

But of some of the shots I am quite proud, and those are the ones I use for Zazzle.

I took this photo last year when wandering through the Gardens of the World in Berlin. It was September, when the roses were blooming in all colors - dark red, pink, white and yellow.

Pink Rose on a mug

Yasmin tea would go with this mug

I cannot imagine drinking coffee out of a mug like this one, but I can very well imagine slowly sipping wonderful refreshing yasmin tea out of it. It is a mug for those precious hours of relaxation, of celebrating small and bigger victories.

Yellow Roses - I love them!

Yellow is the color of friendship

Roses belong to my favorite flowers, and it is difficult for me to decide which color I like most. But do you know what you are saying when you give somebody yellow roses? It is a sign of friendship and trust. So while red and pink roses are for people you really love (like your most significant other), yellow roses are for friends.

Spring product line

Spring has arrived - finally!

When spring had come to Berlin I could not refrain from taking a walk through a nearby park. The trees and shrubs were still bare, but I found those aments, and they looked beautiful against a strikingly blue sky.

This bag is just one example of various products with this design on it. Follow to the link to the bag and you will find the other ones!

In the Gardens of the World, Berlin, you can find a beautiful Chinese Garden, of course with a Chinese Teahouse. I like the way the red of the Teahouse and the Green of the trees go together.
