You have the ingredients, heres the Fish Pie Recipe!

    1. To Poach the fish, put the fish in the frying pan and empty 500ml of the milk over. Add the onion quarters to add to the milk, along with the bay leaves. Bring the milk just to the boil , you should see a few tiny bubbles. Now reduce the heat and simmer for about 8 minutes. Move the fish onto a plate and strain the milk into a jug to cool. Flake the fish into fat pieces in the baking dish and spread with parsley.

    1. To make the sauce. Melt half the butter in a pan, stir in the flour and cook for around 1 min on a moderate heat. Take off the heat, pour in a bit of the cold poaching milk and then stir until mixed well. Continue to add the milk slowly, mixing well until you have a smooth sauce. Return to the heat, bring to the boil and cook for 5 mins, stirring frequently, until it coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg, and then pour over the fish.

    1. Then Assemble and bake, add the spinach and peas now if you like. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Boil the potatoes for 20 minutes. Drain, season and mash well with the left over butter and milk. Use to top the pie, starting at the edge of the dish and working your way in - push the mash right to the edges to seal. Plump up the top with a fork, sprinkle with cheese, and then cook in the oven for 30 minutes.

Serve with a squeeze of lemon
