Fisher Price Precious Planet Collection

The Precious Planet Mobile is simply the coolest mobile I've seen. It is a traditional mobile in the sense that it has animals that dangle down and gently spin while soft music plays, but it also has a projector.

All three of my babies loved projectors. The only downside to projectors is that the images can be hard for baby to see with their underdeveloped eyesight. But Fisher Price solved this problem with the Precious Planet mobile. When baby is young, the projector displays the image on the inside of the mobile's canopy.

Once your baby is old enough to pull up and start grabbing at the mobile, you simply remove the mobile and canopy. The unit still lights up, plays music and sounds, and projects on the ceiling. My oldest child is four years old and she still plays with her Fisher Price baby projector.

The Precious Planet mobile lets you choose between soft songs by Bach, Beethoven, or Mozart, or you can choose nature sounds, white noise, heartbeat, or ocean sounds. The song or sound you choose plays for 20 minutes. If you want to restart the music or sounds without disturbing your baby, this Fisher Price mobile comes with an easy to use remote control.

From a mom's point of view, this is the Cadillac of baby mobiles.

The Fisher Price Precious Planet Jumparoo is awesome because it's an exersaucer and jumper all in one unit. The seat turns 360 degree and is full of activities for your baby, just like an exersaucer, but the safety covered springs also allow your little one to jump his heart out. I like the Jumparoo better than an exersaucer because my baby is strong enough to lean forward and tilt the exersaucer almost completely over (she's not even a year old yet) and that's something I will never have to worry about the Jumparoo with its sturdy construction. The Jumparoo provides your baby with exercise and play and you with free hands to get a few things done.

As a mom to three, what's the one piece of baby gear I'd never want to be without? Easy...a play yard! A play yard (play pen or pack and play) can be used as a crib; it folds up easy for travel. It can be a place to safely place your baby while you do all sorts of things (cook dinner, vacuum, run to the restroom, etc). While a newborn is too little to set in an exersaucer, a play yard can be used right away because your baby can safely lay in it. But, when your baby is sitting up, it still is a safe place for your baby to play. The pad is really low, so your baby can even continue to use the play yard after he is standing.

I had my first baby before cradle swings were available. There is a huge advantage to a cradle swing versus a traditional baby swing because the cradle seat holds baby in a more comfortable position than an upright baby swing seat and the back and forth motion lulls baby to sleep better than a forward and back motion.

The Fisher Price Precious Planet highchair is a great highchair at an affordable price. It has the most important feature for any highchair...wheels! You definitely want a highchair with wheels.
