Fish Finder Reviews

Before you buy a fish finder you should always read fish finder reviews. Electronic fish finders have become an important tool in the angler's arsenal. Finding the right one for you can make the difference between a good day on the lake and a boring day on the lake.
In most fish finder reviews you can find many different kind of brands that offer everything from the latest features to GPS technology. Knowing what kind of features you are after can make the search for the right fish finder a lot easier. The US Navy was the first to develop the technology we today call a fish finder. It was developed 75 years ago and was then called sonar. The US Navy used it to look for submarines but it also worked to search for schools of fish. Another good feature is know the depth of the lake and by just looking at that you can find some places where fish most likely will be located.

So many companies are in the fish finder market today making it hard to choose. You can find more ingoing fish finder reviews on every brand. Here I will only list the most "well-known" fish finder brands. The top 7 contenders are as follows:

1 - Hummingbird fish finder - Most likely the most well known fish finder on the market today. They have everything from portable fish finders to mounted finders.

2 - Eagle fish finder - Also a brand to count on in the future. Produce lots of great fish finders.

3 - Lowrance fish finder - A bit cheaper but have still produced several good fish finders.

4 - Garmin - Mostly known for their GPS devices, but have several good fish finders.

5 - Bottom - Pretty unknown contender so far

6 - Raymarine - Small brand with a few good finders.

7 - Furuno - No idea really, haven't had the chance to test these.

The next step now is to check these brands and start looking deeper into the specific model you want and start reading fish finder reviews about that exact model. It's easy to get overwhelmed by all information out there so try and pin down the exact things you need on your fish finder and try narrow them down. When you have located a few good models that fit your needs I would advice you to head to a price comparison service to find the best deal. I found a great guide about how to use a fishfinder if you don't already know that. It could also be worth looking into used fish finders to save money. Hope this lens answered some of your questions and for more tips you can check out tips when buying fish finder. Thats a great article going a bit deeper in the subject.

Charter fishing lake michigan is the best fishing around. I've been a charter boat captain for over 25 years for sea hawk fishing charters and I think its the best career I could have ever chosen. I'm just worried about the possible obama ban on sport fishing, what is he thinking?
