I Love Fishing

Do you like to go fishing? I sure do. The fish you see here is my biggest catch so far. We didn't have a scale with us but, I'm pretty sure she was over nine pounds. I caught her with a lizard. We were fishing at a pond that have some monster bass in it. When the water is clear you can see them swimming around. Some of them are huge. I'm hoping to catch an even bigger one this year. Wish me luck.

Fishing Reels

Which one do you like?

There are a lot of different kinds of fishing reels. Right now I'm using a Bass Pro Reel. It's my very first baitcaster. It took me a little while to learn how to throw it but, now that I learned how to use it, I really enjoy it. My husband is using the Quantum Energy. He has been using them for a few years and he really likes them.

Exciting And Relaxing

type=textFishing is so relaxing. It is such a stress reliever. You can go out, sit on the bank and just enjoy the day. Leave all your cares behind. It's exciting, sitting there waiting on the bobber to drop down or waiting on them to strike at your lure. There is nothing like it. Some days I like to sit in chair and minnow fish using a bobber. Other days I can stand there for three hours casting my lure over and over waiting on the monster bass to strike it. I guess It all depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Either way, it's just nice to get away from the every day routine.

My favorite fishing lure is a small white spinner bait with a red dot. I like using spinners because you have a better chance of catching more fish. I've caught Bass, Crappie, Perch, and one time I even caught a Catfish with a spinner. Now if you want to catch the biggest, I recommend using a worm, fluke, or lizard. That's what my husband and I use to catch the big ones. My sons favorite bait is the top water poppers. The poppers work pretty good too.

    Nice lens. I used to fish a lot on the ranch where I grew up. Now I carry a camera rather than a pole...like fishing, photography is part art, part science and we are always after the big one.

    Our Family loves to fish year round. Walleye is the fish of choice for our family although we do enjoy fishing the Red River for Channel Cat just for the experience. My 13 year old actually caught a 28lb this summer *Liked and lens rolled*
