Sydney - One of the hottest Tourist spots in Australia

One of the hottest tourist spots in Australia is Sydney, the country's biggest city, which is located right on the water and is full of fun and entertaining attractions. The Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Sydney Tower, museums, and beaches are just a few of the reasons that the city receives so many visitors from around the world each year. Another reason it receives visitors is to go fishing, thanks to the abundance of water spots and fish species available.

There are a lot of fishing spots to choose from within Sydney, and to enjoy them you will need a fishing license, which can be purchased on the internet. With that in hand, enjoy one of the top fishing spots in the city, such as Sydney Harbour, Port Hacking, Georges River, or the Northern Beaches. Within each of these locations, visit the various beaches that make up the area, each offering different species, and each being ideal for a different type of fishing. The different fish species that you will be able to catch in Sydney include silver trevally, squid, tailor, yellowtail, yellowfin bream, flathead, sand whiting, leather jackets, pilchards, Australian Salmon, drummer, mullet, and European Carp.

Botany Bay

On Foreshore Drive Port Botany offers a great spot for catching yellowtail. You will find is a path that leads to a boat ramp used by many fishermen that take their boats to fish the waters of Botany Bay. Next to the boat ramp there is small wharf with plenty of yellowtail and a few tailor to be caught
Another popular spot for fishing in the area is La Perouse. This is for the more adventures fishermen as fishing is off the rocks, with some fairly strong waves coming in depending on the tide.

I agree - Sidney is amazing not only as a city per se, but also because of its very close proximity to water - for fishing friends. I am a fishing fan myself and I review fishfinders like the Garmin 541 s GPS. Modern technology like GPS units / fishfinders made my fishing life a lot easier.
