I take people fishing for a living. My experience has been women catch the most and biggest fish. Some thoughts on why.

Lady anglers listen to instruction and execute it throughout the trip. They seem very achievement oriented. They don't care who catches the biggest fish, they just want to have fun. Men feel like it is a contest and has something to do with their manhood. On many charters I have had to shut off the male beer drinking contest for everyone's safety and remind them that this is a fishing trip. Not once have I had that problem with a woman.

Men will follow your suggestion once and then revert back to acting like the fishing show they saw on TV. And when they can't catch or lose the fish it was not their fault. The hook must have been dull, ain't no fish here, etc.

This is not male bashing, just a humorous curiosity. And I'm sure the ladies have some thoughts on the subject. I think fishing mirrors life.
