I Had Been Skinny All My Life
I have tried a lot of different weight loss and exercise programs, but none of them gave me the fast results that I was looking for. I became so discouraged! I kept thinking that I had no choice as I was getting older and just better get use to it. I began, in fact, to believe that I had to accept the steady increase of body fat as an aging female.
No matter how many stomach crunches I did, the "baby fat" from having four kids, was not going away, and I felt that I was doomed to be lumpy and saggy for the rest of my life.
No matter what diet I tried, I was not losing the weight. It seemed that once I hit 45, everything started settling around my middle and in my butt and would not go away. I have had this book for one month now and have been following the program created for my body type. I have definitely seen a change-for the good-in my body in this time period. There is quite a variety of exercises Angela provides so it does not become tedious or boring which helps you to stick to the program for a long time. There is a glossary of the exercises in the back of the book, however, when you do your routine for that day you must continually leaf through about 20-30 pages of the glossary to find each particular exercise because the page number is not provided next to each exercise. What I have done to save time is go over the next day of weight-training and find the exercise in the glossary and write down the pg. number next to it so when that day comes I can go right to the example. Of course when the moves become more familiar to me I won't need to go back and look at the glossary but I am going into my second month and still need to make sure I use proper form.
Also, her advice about eating six small meals a day instead of 3 normal sized meals was hard to swallow at first but with some effort and creativity it has become easier than I thought and truly DOES make a difference in maintaining your metabolism.
Overall I am satisfied with the book because of the results I have achieved so far so if you don't mind marking pages and going back and forth to write down page numbers here or there then for the price I would recommend this book.

I think a simple solution might be to get her digital books, print them out and put the pages in a loose leaf folder where the exercise pages can be inserted where ever you need them to be.

- I just hope to god I can get myself into gear to get myself back in shape. I find myself at 35 and drawing nearer to the big 40. I grew up as an athlete and martial artist, but have since lost quite a bit of my drive and motivation for keeping fit. I feel like my body has gone from being a temple to being a tire rack.lol. Great lens with inspirational stories and great info.
