BEING OLD DOSEN'T MEAN YOUR DEAD
We all know the drill. We get up every morning, shower and shave, eat breakfast then head off to work. After work there are all of those distractions such as kids and their activities in school or church, sports, and as if that isn't enough there is supper and homework, bath time feed the dog ect... then it's our bedtime only to wake up the next morning to start all over again.
Sudenly one morning while standing in front of the mirror we notice the pudgy face and then a quick glance south of the neckline reveals something even worse. Man how did that happen? When did that happen? Why did that happen.
Folks I decided to do something about what I was seeing. I want to share with you workout programs and eating habits, (not diets) that have made a big difference in my overall quality of life.
It is not about having that competition beach bum bod, at least not at first. It is about changing the behaviors that keep us out of shape and unhealthy. After we change those behaviors, that coveted flat tummy and larger more defined muscles will come much easier that you might imagine. The best part of it all is how much better you will feel and to me that is worth the effort.
Here it is, workout four hours a week and eat six meals a day. I would like to suggest reading The Metabolism Advantage by John Berardi and The Abs Diet by David Zinzcenko and Ted Spiker before you do any exercise program, you will be amazed at what you read.
Before I go any further I want you to take advantage of a few freebies that I have found researching fitness programs. You will get free news letters, ebooks, recipe ebooks, fitness ebooks and much more if you will just follow the links that I have provided below, folks this will ultimately change your life.

The way we view ourselves will show up in every aspect of our daily lives. If we see ourselves as too old, then we will act like we are old and thus limiting ourselves to more passive lifestyles leading to more serious obstacles such as weight gain low energy levels and ultimately health problems which in my opinion is the POINT OF NO RETURN. Don't let yourself get to that point get up,go for a walk, do moderate cardio exercises and weight bearing routines.
You Don't have to kill yourself doing exercise programs but you may be killing yourself by doing nothing at all. The truth is a good exercise program will not take much time aout of your day at all most solid programs usually require working out three to four times a week or a total of four hours a week, Folks that's not that hard to do considering we usually spend two to three hours every night in front of the television.
So I encourage you to make yourself a promise to change the way you think get up and get active. Check out the ebook program at www.over40andripped.com as well as another great program that can be found at www.got6pakabs.com. I have found both of these programs to be extremely helpful. Also read the books The abs diet and The metabolism advantage, thesse books will really make you think about how you eat and they even has a questionaire that gets you to look at the types of food you have in your kitchen as well as a list of foods to replace them with. it also has a detailed workout program and online support. also go to www.over40andripped.com for another resource of information to help you get on the right track. Here's to your health.
Decide to get in shape Prepare to work hard
"Eat to live" don't "Live to eat"
When you decrease your caloric intake you subsequently slow you metabloism. Initially you may shed a few pounds but your body simply adjusts your metabolism in relation to your food intake, also your body may react to starvation creating those ubelievable cravings ultimately resulting in the regaining of those lost pounds and body fat.
The trick is Don't diet! just eat the right foods in the right quantity and at the right time. Foods high in protein actually increase the (RMR) Resting Metabolic Rate. Studies have shown that the body burns more calories simply digesting protein than it would during a brisk walk or run.
Believe it or not you also must have fat in your diet it contains the building blocks for building muscle as well as playing a major role in joint health. The problem is that most people don't understand the functions of fat and what fats are good and which ones are bad. It is also very important to know when certain fats should be consumed in our daily nutrition routine. I highly suggest that you read The Abs Diet and also The Metabolism Advantage. These two books spell out in great detail the art of fat loss and how to change your metabolic rate.
Of coarse all of this information is of no use if you do not have and use a high energy exercise routine the books that I suggested above have that covered as well I also would like to suggest two programs that I have found on the internet I have reviewed both of these programs and have found them to be excellent programs to follow they can be found at www.over40andripped.com and the other one at www.got6pakabs.com. But I have to warn you though be prepared to work hard for the results you obviously want to achieve, but I promise you will have loads of fun with these programs.

What to do about set backs.
Set backs are inevitable. You will only be able to overcome them through determination and keeping your workouts simple and exciting.
Keeping in shape is actually no different than being married, to keep the proverbial fire stoked you need a bit of spontaneity and variety.
If your workout is pretty much the same old same old, then you are setting yourself up for inevitable failure. It is important to change things up periodically to keep yourself mentally challenged and to keep the body in constant "growth shock."
Our bodies have an uncanny ability to adjust to work loads, this is a natural, built in mechanism intended to limit injury and ward against overloading the nervous system. If you have ever had one of those great workouts and felt that coveted "Burn" and felt those muscles twitch. You probably thought, man that was a great work out! Think again, that sting and subsequent twitching could mean that you have overloaded your nervous system, once this "overload" takes place everything else shuts down, including growth.
That is why changing things up, doing something different and keeping your excitement and determination stoked is vital to continued success.
Growing older and getting in shape
Add Kettlebells to your routine. Kettlebells are the most effective tool that you can add to your home gym, and could actually replace some of those bulky machines that clutter up your living room.
Imagine having a home gym that is more effective than that expensive and bulky cable machine or tread mill taking up space in your living room or garage.
Imagine a home gym that can do more for you in 30 minutes than a two mile run or a 1 hour aerobic routine.
Imagine a home gym that is so effective that UFC fighters and professional Boxers use them to build unmatched strength endurance.
Imagine a home gym that can do all of this and is so small that you can carry it around in one hand or put it under your bed or couch when you are done.
Enter The Kettlebell
The Kettlebell can be explained by comparing it to a cannon ball with a handle welded to it.
The weight is placed and centered underneath the handle allowing you to not only lift it as you would traditional Dumbells but incorporating swings and rows that combine the effects of both Aerobic and weightbearing exercises al in one movement.
The Kettlebell by combining aerobic and weightbearing techniques creates a workout environment that burns more calories than aerobic based exercises while at the same time breaking down the muscle.
There is no other exercise tool that is more effective than the Kettlebell and the important thing is that you ONLY NEED ONE KETTLEBELL to do a workout.
