A Plus Size Shopping Blog
I had been writing for BellaOnline for about three years when I decided to start a plus size fashion blog. I really didn't know what I wanted to do at the time but I definitely wanted to give myself a goal of five posts a week.
I came up with the theme of five favorite things by reading the back page of a fashion magazine where a customer talked about five things she loved. I decided to expand that into my blog, one favorite posting five days a week.
When it came to choosing a URL for my blog it was kind of a dilemma. Five Favorite Things was available but it seemed long to me. And what if I decided to change the theme, then I'd have to abandon the URL and the hard work I put behind it. With lots of brainstorming I came up with www.plusshe.com. It is kind of a play on words. If you say "Plus She" fast it kind of sounds like "plushy" which is a cute descriptive for plus size women.
Five Favorite Things has expanded since then to include product reviews and monthly giveaways but the main theme of "favorite things" has stayed the same. I will be celebrating three years this summer with Five Favorite Things.
