Very inspiring! I am committed to make 2012 a much better year: already see much better results compared to last year.

Even if you didn't meet your goals you are still an inspiration to newbies like myself! Good luck with 2012!

My Goal is to earn $10.00 this year.
  • Treasures-By-Brenda Aug 12, 2011 @ 7:43 am | delete
I struggled with setting my goals at the beginning of the year. So I wound up with a loose goal of making the same number of new lenses that I made last year (a lot), keeping my movies blog driving good (for me) traffic and listing 25 items a week on eBay. I guess I should check on my progress; I know I'm not doing well on the last one, which is important because new listings on eBay draw traffic to the existing ones in my eBay store. Thanks for sharing here and on your blog.

Greek, you are my hero. Whenever I need information on Squidoo, I find it in your pages, and always so well done. Thank you! It's never to late to set goals, and I'm going to work with the links on this page and decide what my realistic objectives can be for the rest of this year. Wish you had a line in your poll that said, "I hadn't, but I'm going to now!"

    Interesting and motivational lens, thanks.
  • avgsuperheroine Jun 4, 2011 @ 10:31 pm | delete
This is a great lens, I'm motivated to write out my own goals now.

I am a newbie and working hard to set my goals.

Goal setting is fine for the growth.....nice tips....thanks
  • artyfax Mar 21, 2011 @ 5:31 am | delete
I know I should be setting myself goals but at the moment it is a hobby and other things come first and get in the way. Not long to go to my fulltime retirement, I shall start being much more upbeat then. Until then I will continue learning from your excellent portfolio of lenses
  • AddaptAbilities Mar 11, 2011 @ 1:29 am | delete
I need to bring my own Squidoo goals into focus. I know I want to be "better", but I haven't zeroed in on how.
  • mypotlpeople Mar 6, 2011 @ 7:48 pm | delete
I need to make my squidoo goals a little more specific. Hope you reach all your goals in 2011.
  • Ruthi Mar 6, 2011 @ 12:17 pm | delete
This is fabulous! I should force myself to commit to goals like you have done. I have no doubt you'll achive your goals.

Interesting to see your Zazzle results so far. I started with Zazzle on Jan 12th this year, and just started with Squiddo. No Zazzle sales for me yet. I guess that tells you something about how powerful it is to work the Squidoo end of it.

    Love your lenses!
  • magicgeniewishlist Feb 1, 2011 @ 4:36 am | delete
Congratulations on your income! I have not earned anything yet, see how I go though. You have written a very inspirational lens, I will check back to see how you're going :)

Go for it GG! As we embark on 2011 I am really feeling the power of goals. I think I am going to go for a small book at the side of my bed, just to jot down my weekly, monthly and annual objectives. Great lens.
  • ideadesigns Jan 18, 2011 @ 6:07 pm | delete
I've learned so much from this lens. Zazzle will be a new focus for me this year.
  • sheilamarie Jan 16, 2011 @ 5:46 pm | delete
You inspire me, Greekgeek! I didn't dare writing too many $ goals in my goals lens because I have yet to get beyond single digits, but someday I would like to be like you and have a real business here. I have learned a lot from your lenses and hope to continue to discover your words of wisdom. Thanks!
  • ohcaroline Jan 16, 2011 @ 4:56 pm | delete
Great set of goals. I'm wishing you success at attaining them.
  • Hairdresser007 Jan 16, 2011 @ 3:08 pm | delete
This is a really great lens with a lot of information! I am not going to set goals because I already have goals at work and a personal goal to drop 30 lbs! (or at least look like it if I want to build muscles later). Squidoo to me is more of a relaxing hobby and way to work on my understanding of the internet, linking, writing, etc. I think it is so important to write down and track your goals by doing it you are already setting yourself up to successed. Make sure to have specifics and if you break it down into steps it is even better and more likely to achieve! Good luck to all of you and keep providing great content I keep learning every day I log into squidoo!
  • Greekgeek Jan 16, 2011 @ 3:24 pm | delete
Absolutely! I spent 3 years on Squidoo treating it as a fun hobby, and I notice immediately that I'm spending less time mucking around having fun, and more time working now that I've got a set of goals to meet. Not everyone NEEDS to set Squidoo goals: it's more fun treating it as, well, a fun thing to do, which just happens to pay you too!

One of the best things about Squidoo is we can use it and approach it in so many different ways.

I wish you luck in your work goals, and may you continue to discover, create, and have fun on Squidoo in 2011!
  • ajgodinho Jan 14, 2011 @ 3:55 pm | delete
Wow, I'm impressed with your goals and also encouraged by the results of your previous goals. Your new goals are definitely a tall order, but I'm sure with your dedication and commitment, you will soar high...wishing you the best! :)

Hope we all achive our goals. Very nice lens.
  • Ereinion Jan 8, 2011 @ 7:55 am | delete
This lens helped me to realize few things I didn't consider before about Squidoo. And I can see now that there is still lot of work to do for me if I want to raise any money from writing here. But it is very encouraging at the same time! Many thanks for sharing your goals and I wish you the best of luck with them! ;)
  • resabi Jan 7, 2011 @ 9:20 pm | delete
Well, your goals are helping me to see that I need to raise my expectations (and efforts) of income possibilities on Squidoo -- so thanks for that! These are great, focused goals. Glad you shared them. Best of luck on attaining them all. You sure have the determination.
  • livingfrontiers Jan 7, 2011 @ 7:37 pm | delete

  • _Joan_ Jan 7, 2011 @ 6:22 pm | delete
Hi! I'm lensrolling you to my 2011 goals lens (my goals aren't Squidoo-related, though).
  • Greekgeek Jan 7, 2011 @ 6:32 pm | delete
They don't have to be! Thanks, Joan, and good luck to you, too!
  • Janet21 Jan 7, 2011 @ 6:13 pm | delete
Great lens! I am glad to hear you are not ruling out affiliate marketing programs. I make good money through 3rd party affiliate sales while still writing about things I love. You can, too! Not all affiliate marketing is sleazy. lol Best of luck with your 2011 goals. I know you will make it. :)
  • Greekgeek Jan 7, 2011 @ 6:32 pm | delete
Heh. I know it's not sleazy, because there's folks like you doing it! You're an inspiration to all of us, Janet, a success story who doesn't toot her horn overmuch. Good luck on your goals too!
  • JaguarJulie Jan 7, 2011 @ 5:14 pm | delete

  • chemknitsblog Jan 7, 2011 @ 5:04 pm | delete
My 2011 Goals I am impressed by your goals, they are very high reaching indeed. I hope that around 2012 I can set some of my goals as high as yours!
  • Greekgeek Jan 7, 2011 @ 5:21 pm | delete
Thank you! I'm afraid I've set my goals too high. I wish you luck on all of yours and have little doubt you'll get there!
  • vallain Jan 7, 2011 @ 5:02 pm | delete
