Ranked #46,214 in Education, #874,226 overall
Do you want to apply to Grad School?
For those of you in an undergraduate diploma, working in a corporation is the typical path. Nevertheless, a few of you aim to apply to graduate school, whether it is a Master's degree or other advanced degrees, such as a Ph.D.
The required application process to enter a graduate degree is time-consuming and tiring, and unfortunately there exists an unknown element in the process, since ultimately it is the admissions department that makes decisions on who joins the program.
Nevertheless, there are several factors within your control, and it is your responsibility to ensure they help you as much as possible.

1 %u2013 Begin The Application Early
It needs time!
Life may get in the way of applying, but it is imperative to not just start working on them just a few weeks before the deadlines. The applications process takes effort, getting reference letters takes even more time, and it will serve you well to make sure you have satisfied all the requirements, such as standardized examinations (i.e. LSAT, GRE, etc.).
Buy Study Guides!
Study guids are an important part of doing well on standardized exams. Be sure to spend time working on them.
2 - Get a top score on your standardized exams
GREs, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, and others.
Almost all Grad universities require a standardized test. For most arts and sciences programs, the GRE is an example. To be accepted into a tier one university, high scores are beneficial, but they are not the solely deciding factor. This is facilitated when using study guides, and you can buy a GRE book online. 3 %u2013 Participate in Some Side Projects
Do things other than study.
Although it is quite enticing to expend all your energy getting top marks in your courses, most other people who have applied to same university will also have top grades. You must distinguish yourself from others, which can be done by spending time with some side projects. Start your own company. Be involved with university projects. Join various activities, and help by becoming a leader.
4 %u2013 Network
Meet other people
You read this everywhere, but it is never taken into consideration. A fundamental part of your application is your recommendation letters. It is easy to ask anyone for a letter, but they may use a template, which is unoriginal. It helps to have a recommendation letter that reflects a deep knowledge of who you are, helping you stand out, and which ultimately can only be written by an individual who knows you.
5 %u2013 Double and Triple Check Your Paperwork
There are applications with basic spelling mistakes. Since you are not Isaac Newton, these mistakes will unfortunately affect your application. Have a few people go over the application with you.
And finally, submit the application. Now, just wait. Good luck!
