Are you trying to get a flat stomach ? What most people don't realize is that you already have a flat stomach, you already have six pack abs, it's just buried beneath what every weight that you've put on.

It may not be the easiest task to bring them out but if you're willing to do a little bit of work, it is not impossible. To get the abs that are there hiding to show through you have to burn away the fat that is covering them.

The best way to do that is with lots of cardio. Anything that can get your heart rate up is good. If you like, basket ball start playing again, walks, running, treadmill, anything that will get you sweating and that heart rate up is good.

The second thing is diet. We all have our comfort foods, but if you are serious about losing about getting a flat stomach you are going to need to take a hard honest look at what your eating.

Portion sizes are also important instead of a couple of large meals a day make the portion size smaller and have more meals. Instead of two or three, have five or six.

The third thing is toning your abs. For the upper abs, the basic crunch is one of the better exercises. For the lower abs, the reverse crunch is best. In addition to toning, you will also be building muscle.

Muscle burns fat and help kick-start metabolism. Drink plenty of water and gets lots of sleep. What many people don't know is after you are done working out and has gone to bed your body is still burning calories.
