Products Offered by Fixtureworks

Moduar Fixturing

Modular Fixturing is an effective alternative to the traditional, dedicated fixturing system. Typically, a modular workholding system is comprised of a number of interchangeable components that can adapt to different applications. Because of their versatility, a single modular fixturing system is capable of replacing several custom fixtures. A few of the modular fixturing components offered through Fixtureworks include:

- Tooling Plates
- Tooling Blocks
- Adjustable Stops
- Clamps
- Modular Risers
- Work Supports

Clamps

Fixtureworks offers a wide assortment of manual style Clamps that are adaptable to different industrial applications and systems. These unique clamps provide quick, secure, and precise workholding and are manufactured to the highest quality specifications.

The One-Touch Clamp line of clamps offer easy and efficient clamping with a single rotation of the handle. This unique feature alleviates the need for tools when using these clamps in an application, which reduces setup and changeover time.

The One-Touch Clamp line offers a number of different clamp styles including:

- Side Clamps
- Push Clamps
- Pull Clamps
- Swing Clamps
- Retractable Clamps

Some of the other styles of clamps available through Fixtureworks include:

- Hook Clamps
- Modular Clamps
- Wedge Clamps
- I.D. Expansion Clamps

Supports and Stops

Fixtureworks offers a full line of work Supports and Stops that are designed to assist during the machining, assembly, or inspection process. Due to their versatility, these components are able to integrate into a wide range of application and environments.

The Work Supports offered by Fixtureworks are designed and used to prevent deflection and chattering caused by machining forces. The supports adjust to the correct height of the work piece, allowing them to adapt to different applications and work pieces while maintaining repeatable accuracy.

Rubber and Urethane Bumpers are designed to guard, stop, align, and protect a machine or work piece during the manufacturing process. These industrial bumpers are available in round, square, and rectangular shapes (custom sizes also available) and have material options available in black neoprene, white nitrile, or colored urethane.

Other products available include:

- Work Locators
- Support and Locating Cylinders
- Contact Bolts
- Adjustable Swivel Stops

Workholding and Positioning

Fixtureworks Workholding and Positioning components allow for faster speeds and feeds within the manufacturing process. Their modular and economical replaceable wear surfaces extend the life of expensive jigs, fixtures, jaws, and clamping mechanisms.

Workholding and positioning components offered by Fixtureworks include:

- Swivots®
- Thrust Screws
- Rest Pads
- Serrated Grippers

Swivots® are self aligning positioning components that swivel, tilt, pivot, grip, hold, or position to irregular work pieces. They are available in three different housing styles - non-threaded base design, hex head design, and full threaded body design.

Thrust Screws are similar to the Swivot line in that they also utilize the swiveling gripper technology. They allow straight-line static thrust load thrust without transmitting torsional or radial forces on to the contact area.

Rest Pads are replaceable wear surfaces that help to extend the life of expensive machinery, fixtures, and tools.

Serrated Grippers are replaceable contact points used to penetrate the work piece to provide superior holding power. Used in jigs, fixtures, and chuck jaws, these grippers are versatile and efficient, suitable for a number of different applications.

Workholding Accessories

Workholding Accessories are designed to compliment the tools used in a workholding system or application. These components allow the user greater flexibility in developing workholding solutions. Typically these accessories make a workholding fixture or system more dependable, economical, and easier to use.

Some of the components offered through Fixtureworks include:

- Marker Plates
- Flange Nuts
- Clamp Rests
- Threaded Studs
- T-slot Nuts
- Locating Screws
- Flat Keys
- Locating Gages
- Riser Pads
- Locating Adapters
- Sliding Mounts
- Spring Supports

Quick Release Ball Lock Pins

Quick Release Ball Lock Pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment. These positive locking pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed, which then allows the balls to retract into the shank. This allows the pin to be inserted or removed from a hole.

Several different quick release ball lock pin styles are available through Fixtureworks and include:

- Button Handle Pins
- Ring Handle Pins
- T-Handle Pins
- L-Handle Pins
- Nautical Handle Pins
- Plastic Handle Pins

All of these quick release pins are available in a variety of lengths, diameters, and materials.

Fixtureworks also offers a number of quick release Ball Lock Pin Accessories, including wire rope lanyard assemblies, flanged receptacles, and end caps.

Wire rope lanyard assemblies are used to prevent misplacement of quick release pins when they are not in use by attaching the pin to a fixture or frame. They are made from stainless steel and have optional split rings or end tabs to be added to the assembly.

Ball lock pin flanged receptacles provide a permanent and proper mating hole for quick release ball lock pins. While available in four shapes, each is suitable for blind-hole applications because the pin does not protrude past the bottom of the receptacle.

End caps are designed to fit over the end of a quick release ball lock pin and lock in place. Use of the receiver end cap with a quick release ball lock pin can replace the traditional cotter pin and hitch pin, allowing a user to take advantage of quick change operations without the use of tools.

Adjustable Levers & Handles

Adjustable Handles and Levers are commonly used in applications where adjusting becomes difficult due to space constraints. Pulling up on the handle disengages it from the spline and allows it to rotate 360 degrees in either direction. Releasing the handle re-engages the spline for tightening or adjusting.

Many handle styles and material options are available through Fixtureworks, as well as a host of thread lengths and sizes. Color options are also available for many of the adjustable handle styles.

Knobs, Handles, & Hand Wheels

Fixtureworks offers a complete line of industrial Knobs, Handles, and Hand Wheels designed for use on both manufacturing equipment and end products alike.

Fixtureworks' complete array of Plastic and Steel Knobs adds variety, durability, and style to both machinery and end products alike. The Novo-Grip® line of plastic knobs and grips offer a consistent look and feel for all the manual controls on equipment or end products and come in an assortment of colors and mounting options.

Fixtureworks also has available a variety of machine and crank handles both with optional Fixed and Revolving Handles. They are designed to be versatile as well as functional, with versions ranging from revolving models to those that can fold up and out of the way when not in use. They are available in steel, aluminum, and thermoplastic with a variety of thread sizes to fit new or existing products.

Fixtureworks' line of industrial Pull Handles are designed to be applicable both on end products as well as the machines used in the manufacturing process. These handles come in a host of different styles, colors, and materials

Fixtureworks' large selection of Hand and Positioning Wheels features stationary, revolving, or foldaway handles. They are made from aluminum, cast iron, or black thermoplastic and all are stocked in a number of diameters.

Spring & Ball Plungers

Fixtureworks has available a full line of Spring and Ball Plungers stocked in a wide array of styles, sizes, and materials. Spring Plungers are well suited for fixturing applications where pressure is required for accurate positioning and indexing of components.

Numerous insertion methods are available to accommodate many different applications and include: slotted drive, hex socket, and top slot (for use in blind-hole operations). An available Long-Loc® nylon thread option is also available, which helps to prevent loosening of the plunger due to impact or vibration.

Many of the spring and ball type plungers have light, standard, or heavy end forces available to them.

Similarly, Fixtureworks also offers a wide variety of Indexing Plungers. These are commonly used in positioning applications that require fast and easy locating.

When engaged, the nose of the plunger extends into the application holding it in place. Pulling back on the handle disengages the plunger and retracts the nose back into the body allowing movement.

Styles of indexing plungers available through Fixtureworks include weld-in, threaded end, and clamping versions.
