    i spent a winter in key west when i was younger. i had great times, but it was kind of nice to return to the sanity of the north. and your right fantasy fest is really not for children.

    I haven't yet been to Key West either, but I've been to Florida 3 times. I think I'm gonna favorite this lens so that I can come back here for tips when I DO finally go to Key West. :o)

    good tips, planning on driving down to the keys when in FL, no plans of staying the night but want to make the drive down eventful

    Been to Key West several times and can't wait to go back! Funny you mention the beaches, teh first time I went I expected to see lots of beach, which isn't the case. So many other things to do down there though and a few beaches along the way. One of our favorite places to stay is Marquesa-a short walk from Duval street! Keep up the great work!

    Poddys and I are off to the keys next weekend. This lens has given us some great tips...like mallory sq, we had no idea about that and the trolley train .. Thanks! 5*****

    Ah, your lens brings back memories of my time spent in the Keys and in Key West when I worked there briefly. My mother and stepfather had a couple of homes in the Keys -- and lived on Big Pine. I worked at General Dynamics on Boca Chica as a contractor for a short stint and got to see all those fly-boys in uniforms. WOW!!! And watch them do their sorties in the F-16s. Great time. And then I worked a brief stint actually in Key West. Good times.

    Love Key West, especially the drive down from Miami over the Keys. The bars are some of the best anywhere. Nice job!

    Your introduction to this lens was of interest to me. I love the Keys, and I always tell people "my feet fit the ground down there". No one understands. Yes, it feels like "home". Perhaps our ancestors were there at one time. There is definitely a feeling of being connected to the land. I have not had that experience at any other place I have ever been in my life! Thank you for a beautiful lens!

    I relished every word of this lens, because Key West is one of my "Dream Destinations." I haven't made it there yet, but I'm hoping my husband and I can take a trip there soon. Thanks for providing so much information.

    I love Key West! Especially Isla Morada. And all of those cute polydactyl cats on the Hemingway estate. Lovely lens!
