Flacco

Ranked #44,242 in Entertainment, #529,785 overall

Flacco is the stuff that nightmares are made of.

Think Cirque De Soliel without the acrobatics, grace and style. Just the freaky looking clown. And not the colourful ones with the red noses and big shoes. Circa early 18th century, when clowns didn't have much to laugh about.

In short (which he is) he's a scary little man with an Eastern European accent.

Here's a few videos to get a feel of the Flacco as well as a few tasty paragraphs of text...

Releasing the Imbecile Within

An Incomplete Idiot's Guide

An excerpt from the book "Releasing the Imbecile Within - An Incomplete Idiot's Guide" by Paul Livingston (aka Flacco)...

Are you a sponge or a scourer?

A scourer will search for hidden things, seek them out, then scrub earnestly until the surface is exposed. A scourer deals with harsh realities. A sponge is passive. It soaks up information, only letting go of its booty when firmly squeezed. Note that someone else does the squeezing. A sponge is not self-squeezing. It passively consumes. Start your day dry. Feel the information all around you. Warm, palatable tidbits from the radio and television. By day's end you are soaked with information but, like any good sponge, there is always room for more. A scourer takes in nothing. It searches for flaws. A scourer is never satisfied. A sponge is the epitome of satiation. Isn't it queer how a sponge has so much more depth than a scourer? Yet it is depth without reflection.

Remember, stay still, stay moist and stay away from the stubborn stains. Be a sponge. Not a scourer.

The Best Of Flacco

Personally I feel that his best work is with The Sandman, an Australian comedian with a deadpan delivery. Sandman takes great delight in giving Flacco a verbal lashing whenever he steps out of line.

The Gap: Watching Television

The Gap was a comical interlude that took place during the live recording of the Australian television series Good Weekend.

Presented by the forceful and dominating Sandman and the oppressed and eternally sad faced Flacco the dysfunctional comic duo disturb, disgust and defile themselves, each other and the audience, both the live studio audience and the television viewing public.

Their routines were simple in nature but were whimsical, surreal and a heavy dose of the absurd.

The comedy value was as much in their timing, Sandy's deadpan expression and Flacco's facial gestures as the script.
