Holy Flaming Pumpkins, Batman!
The Legend of The Blackened Pumpkin
He arrived unpretentiously.
In a white van.
Though we met him in a field.
He was carried by a man in a white hat, and left to season.
To savor the warm sun on his back.
A child drew on a face, using natural scars as inspiration.
And so it began.
It Started Innocently
A flicker of a dream ~
~ that his pumpkin could shoot flames and be really, reeee-ally scary!

Nah, well, you don't know what the pumpkin did in a previous life, do ya?
Desilegend says:
I've never had proper Halloween (don't blame me because I was born in Soviet times and no foreign stuff was allowed). I'd love to experience Halloween and Thanksgiving american style and to see all sort of things you do to pumpkins.
happynutritionist says:
And I'm just wondering if you've get a head start on cooked pumpkin for pumpkin pie if you clean out the blackened innards?
Here He Stands Today
The Blackened Pumpkin of Myrtle Beach
As the legend goes, his family had no interest in his meat; 'twas his craggy face they cared for. Once the recycling truck had been through, the blackened pumpkin was never heard from again.
