Flash games are usually played directly in your web browser, inside a web page. They're quick, fun, accessible, and everywhere. Here I'm going to link to my favorites. I've also included a feed from Jay is Games, my favorite web source for flash games.
Some of my favorites
- Frusion Breakfast Brawl
- Old school gamers will recognise this as punch-out. This version runs in a browser, and you fight heavy breakfasts, it's a promo for a breakfast drink, but it's got a great retro feel.
- Grow
- There are a few Grow games now on the Eyezmaze site, they're incredibly popular, and rightly so. In each one you have to choose the correct order to use a small group of items... it's harder and more fun than it sounds.
- Planarity
- Planarity is a puzzle game based on intersecting lines. Again, more fun than it sounds.
- Duck Hunt
- More Retro goodness, the NES classic Duck Hunt in your browser.
- Pixel Field
- A cool inertia based game where you have make your way through a maze.
- Bugs
- Bugs is a very cute game, Flash Games get better all the time.
- Multiplayer Flash Shooter
- This is like an FPS, without the first person perspective. Very cool.
- Flash Command & Conquer Style
- I haven't had a chance to play this yet, but it claims to be the first online multiplayer RTS game in Flash.
- Lightning Pool
- Just plain awesome. This is a great pool game with all kinds of different challenges.
- Road Block
- Interesting puzzle game. Use the arrow keys to direct your way through a maze and find the exit.
