My Favourite Indian Recipe Book
Madhur Jaffrey's Ultimate Curry Bible
This is indeed the Ultimate Curry Bible!
I have made quite a lot of stuff from this book, either following the recipe to the letter or adapting it to suit what I have in the cupboard or to cut down on fat etc.
The thing is that everything I have made has turned out great, not even one culinary disaster! So for that reason alone I have to recommend this book.

My Genealogy
One of the projects that I dip in and out of is trying to trace my family tree. The Burnip family line (my maternal line) traces back mainly to the Co. Durham area of England including the places of Easington, Haswell, Wheatley Hill, Stanhope, Lanchester and Gateshead to name but a few.
I have yet to begin my paternal line (Holdsworth), maybe that's because I think it will be more difficult to gather the information, Holdsworth is quite a common name in these parts.
