The birth of a user name
Isn't it frustrating when you want to set up a new email account or register for some new website and the user name you want somebody else has already been taken, and, after several attempts at coming up with something original you're still left scratching your head until you have that flash of inspiration?
Oh, if only I could call on inspiration at will I thought as I glanced my my little silver car, sitting proudly on the driveway, gleaming brightly after a much needed trip to the car wash.
My Family And Other Animals
Sadly our house seems a little bit empty at the moment since our rescue greyhound Flynn passed away a few weeks ago.KC aka the princess of darkness (and formerly known as princess fluffles prior to being inherited from my daughter) is doing her best to fill the gap but there is only so much a small cat can do when you have been used to having a large greyhound around who loved to sing, eat ice cream and fart! :-/
We now feel that we are ready to give another greyhound the chance to have a loving home, so hopefully his successor might not be long in coming. Watch this space!

flighty02 and Squidoo how did it all begin?
I can't really remember now how I came to find Squidoo but when I met my partner who's dog Flynn was, I felt that I had to say something about the way some racing greyhounds are treated hence the birth of my very first lens Greyhounds Anonymous - Life In The Slow Lane.Since then I have introduced my partner to Squidoo and thought that it was only right to transfer the lens to her.
But what do I like to do?
Well with a quick look through a list of my lenses you will soon realise that I enjoy cooking and I am proud to say that my top lens Healthy Vegetarian Recipes - Lentil Curry has been hovering just over the top 100 lenses on squidoo now for a while. Hopefully we will get into the top 100 at some point but the competition is tough and there are some great lensmasters with wonderful lenses out there!
There has to be more to life than cooking!
Really? Well yes, I guess there is but I'm not going to be giving all of my secrets away here :)
Oh ok just another tidbit perhaps.
I like to try my hand at photography now and then but I'm certainly not the best and can use all the help I can get! I put these lenses together to help anybody like myself who either needed to find the perfect pictures for their website or wanted to do something fun with their pictures.

- Your username experience sounds a lot like something I went through when I first started online for my email. The big guy companies are pushing more and more for everyone to use their "real name" for accounts, but a lot of people have common names, not to mention trying to protect your personal info. Anyway, I'm a newbie here and I'm a pet lover as well and have been enjoying your posts here.
