How to make your Own Flip Flop Invitations

To Download the Patterns Scrapebooks Etc. By Clicking Here1. Open the flip-flop template in your photo-editing program. Add the text you want. Print the flip-flop image on card stock and then cut out the shape using the gray lines as a guide.
2. Use a small hole-punch to make two holes on the sides of the flip-flops (using the black dots as a guide). Use a larger hole-punch to make a hole at the top.
3. Thread ribbon through the holes. Stack flowers and attach them with a rhinestone brad.
4. Attach the flip-flop to the second sheet of card stock using adhesive foam. Trim card stock using the flip-flop guide.
You can also follow the same design and cut out your Flip Flop Shape using Foam Sheets and writing your party info by hand.

How to make your own Flip Flop Birthday Cake
from Betty Croker
1 Box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® yellow cake mixWater, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
Tray or cardboard, covered with foil
2 Containers Betty Crocker® Whipped vanilla frosting
Assorted food colors
About 40 small round candy-coated fruit-flavored chewy candies
Assorted colors Betty Crocker® decorating icing (in 4.25-oz tubes) or Betty Crocker® Easy Flow decorating icing (in 6.4-oz cans)
1 Roll Betty Crocker® Fruit by the Foot® Green Apple Wave® chewy fruit snack (from 4.5-oz box)
2 Edible pansy or Silk daisy flowers
1. Heat oven to 350°(325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Make cake as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan. Cool 15 minutes. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
2. Cut cake lengthwise in half. Continue cutting each piece to form flip-flop shape as shown in diagram. Place pieces on tray. Freeze pieces uncovered about 1 hour for easier frosting if desired.
3. In small bowl, mix 1 cup frosting with food color to make desired color; frost sides of each flip-flop. In another small bowl, mix 1 cup frosting with second food color to make desired color; frost top of each flip-flop. Place small candies around side edge of each flip-flop to look like jewels. Decorate top of each flip-flop with decorating icing. Cut two 6-inch pieces from fruit roll; cut pieces lengthwise in half. Arrange on flip-flops for straps. Just before serving, top with flowers. Store loosely covered.

How to Decorate Flip Flops

There are so many ways you can decorate Flip Flops - think about the age group and start from there. Obviously the older the kids are the more involved you can get.What you will need:

So what size do you buy? Well check with parents on the children's sizes prior to purchasing. Most kids in the same age group will have around the same size, but you never know - so do your homework.
You can find Flip Flops that are inexpensive in the Dollar Stores, Walmart and you can also buy them in bulk on EBay.
Decoration Ideas:
Personally I like Bling so here are some ways to Bling up those Flip Flops.
You can buy self adhesive Rhinestonesthe kids can stick on the thongs and sides - this is easy for the younger kids.
Pick Bigger items for the center and I recommend gluing them on if you are able.
There is a special Flip Flop Glue
you can use.Add Ribbons and Bows, Glue on Fur, beads - it really is endless - just use your imagination and be creative.
The other thing I like to do is take some Glitter Glue - the sparkly the better - take a small brush and brush it all around the sides of the flip flops so they sparkle in the sun when the kids walk.
I prefer using the Flip Flop Glue-
when gluing on my items to insure it will stay on the Flip Flop, but if you have younger kids at the party the stick on stones will work just fine. Flip Flop Craft Supply Items
