The flip flop originated from the sandal which was the first footwear humans ever invented. The flip flop has stood the test of time through the centuries. Over the years people used various materials like leaves and straw to give a better hold and add more wear ability to the flip flop. From the first Egyptians who wore flip flops to their spread in the Western world, the humble flip flop's popularity remains undiminished.
The flip flop has come a long way! Today one can purchase flip flop books, jewelry, floormats, mailboxes, stickers, beach towels, posters and even flip flop toilet paper! Do you wear flip flops?
What Is A Flip Flop?
Flip flops, or Pluggers, are an open type of outdoor footwear, consisting of a flat sole held loosely on the foot by a Y-shaped strap, like a thin thong, that passes between the first and second toes and around either side of the foot. - You should include "kenos" from Key West. I've worn mostly flip-flops all summer my whole life but I switched to this nicer version. If you go to their factory the leather flipflops they make are very cheap.
