Cardboard Boat Races at Milford Lake Kansas

Every Summer since August 2008, Milford Lake Kansas has been the site of a friendly and exciting watersport competition! Teams of two or more people compete in the "Float Your Boat" Cardboard Boat Races at the South Boat Ramp Area at Milford State Park. The goal is to paddle across the water without sinking and to do so in the fastest time. This activity is part of the annual Milford Lake Extreme Outdoor Water Festival which typically includes a Youth Triathlon, canoe/kayak experience, and free boat rides. Food vendors and inflatables are usually on site as well.
