Using a series of crop/copy/paste techniques in addition to some artwork (the frames and backgrounds), the Photo Art is symbolic of a table and dish. This would be a great piece to hang on the wall in a dining room or to put on a tote bag to carry all of your gardening supplies.

From Photograph to Photo Art - Roses
The Rose photo, as you can see, is in need of touch ups. Caught in the heat of the day in early summer, this bloom has seen better days.
The photo art design has been 'clothified' using GIMP. In addition to some touch ups and clothification, the photo has also been brightened (clothify tends to darken the image), and then the contrast has been increased.
This design would be great framed or on a greeting card.

Photography to Photo Art - Zennia
The following photograph of a yellow zennia needed only a slight bit of touch up. Again it was very hot the day of the shoot, and the pedals had been darkened by the sun on a couple of spots.
The second frame is the photo art. By using the 'oilify' technique, the photo has now transformed into an oil painting look design. The settings are only lightly applied. It is possible to raise or lower the settings on several levels so that it is quite possible to obtain dozens of looks by using only the 'oilify' application.
This design would be an incredible design for a kitchen, a greeting card, or even a designer tee shirt. Light and playful, this design would even adorn a craft room or young girls bedroom.

Photography to Photo Art - Purple Devines
The first image is of the purple flowers I took at the shoot. The heat didn't seem to bother them at all. I actually do not know what kind of flower they are...so if you 'know' and wonder why I am calling them "Purple Devines"... now you know I just needed to call them something and that name seemed fitting.
The Photo Art, below the photo, was created using the Van Gogh application in GIMP. By applying the settings a bit higher on every level (above default), I was able to create an image that looks as though it is painted with watercolor and a bristle brush. Not exactly sure why the application is called 'van gogh' since I have not found a sample yet that resembles the master's technique.
This design would be great for multiple uses. I have created a sample product profile for all of the designs in this lens below.

- I've got a confession. I don't know a lot about flowers...even though I draw a lot of them. Most of my flowers are generic. Nevertheless, you might enjoy my Best Buds lens. Favoriting and lensrolling this lens to that lens.
