Dining in Florence, Italy
How to have a great dinner in Florence
*** Wanna savour a real Tuscan dinner?
Just avoid the historical center
Tuscan specialties such as the T-bone steak (the "Florentine") and pasta are world-wide known. As in other European cities, if you want to savour some traditional meals you have to escape the city centre and look for old restaurants in the surrounding areas.
*** Wanna eat a real pizza?
We all know great pizza come from Neaples...
...so all you have to do is find a "pizzeria" owned and run by Neaples' people. A really good one is "Rosso Pomodoro" in piazza del Mercato Centrale, near the San Lorenzo market. Here you can also enjoy a delicious "fried" pizza and a lot of fish specialties.
