The New Thought Movement or New Thought, developed in the late 1800s in the U.S., was a spiritual movement.

This movement had members from various walks of life, such as authors, philosophers, and individuals who shared a common understanding in metaphysical beliefs. These metaphysical beliefs concerned the effects of factors like positive thinking, life force, healing, laws of attraction, and personal power.

The New Thought Movement strongly believed in the facts that God is everywhere, positive thinking has a healing effect, sickness starts from the mind, and true human selfhood is divine.
