Just wondering why makemytrip is not have any points. It is one of the best and biggest portal for travel booking In India
  • sesame Aug 25, 2010 @ 4:00 am | delete
Sidney, makemytrip doesn't have any points because no one's voted for it so far. You are right, it is one of the biggest, though not necessarily the best travel portal in India. It even held an IPO in the US recently which saw its market capitalization crossing $1 billion. Hope this is not the beginning of another dot com bubble:-0

    Hey Sesame,

Nice post. Very informative. But I do not agree to your views on Bixee Travel. I agree that the booking is counter intuitive but your comment on Rail having a single sleeper class was seriously lame. This is the only search that gives you the availability for all classes in a single shot.
  • Ramarojah Jun 24, 2008 @ 5:00 am | delete
I like Yatra, they are good, specially the /- 2 days listing they provide, I think they are the only site which provides that.

    Hello sesame

You could also consider adding Momondo.com to your list.
Momondo is a big european flight search, that has one of the most comprehensive coverages of low-cost airlines on a global level.

If you've found it useful, do let me have your feedback so that I can improve this and other lenses that will be making their appearance soon:-) All profit will go to the NGO in which my wife works, so it's all for a good cause
