Fogless Shower Mirror

To prevent the formation of fog on a mirror, the temperature of the mirror surface needs to be heated to match the temperature in the surrounding environment (a hot shower in this instance). Since you don't want a heating element/electrical current in your shower, this is often achieved by using hot water in a reservoir behind the mirror. Clearly, the reservoir has to be refilled with hot water at every use.

Another option is to use some type of film or solution to coat the mirror. Films can distort the view and solutions need to be reapplied periodically.

There are plenty of fogless shower mirrors out there that don't work very well. We have tried to sift through the options and show you only the ones that consumers have reported as the best. 1. The Mirror
Certainly the mirror has to be large enough to suit you but you also need a mirror that is clear enough and doesn't create excessive distortion. If you are in a store, you can simply look at the mirror, but when you shop online you can also read customer reviews to determine mirror quality. Many shower mirrors are not glass, they may be acrylic so that they are shatter proof.

2. A Secure Mount
Many shower mirrors use suction cups to mount. This makes them easy to install and allows you to relocate them as needed. However some suction cups won't stick to some surfaces and some are less secure than others. Adhesives are generally more secure but don't lend themselves to being relocated as easily and may leave a sticky residue. Screws offer the most secure mount but are more permanent, require tools for installation, and leave holes if removed.

3. Ease of Use
A fogless shower mirror that is adjustable will offer more flexible use. It assures that you can get the right view from any angle and that people of various sizes can use the mirror. There are a number of added features that can make it even more convenient to use. An included squeeggee can allow you to wipe away excess water for better visibility. (Using a cloth creates smears) Holders for razors, tweezers, and so forth keeps things handy and certainly a lighted mirror or some magnification can help visbility as well.

4. Effectiveness
A fogless mirror is of no use if it doesn't effectively prevent the formation of fog on the surface. This isn't something you can judge while you are standing in the store.
