Folgers Gourmet Selections Coffee - Yum, Yum!

Last year my husband, Travis, was contacted by a marketing company. He was asked if he'd like to receive a free sample of Folgers' new Gourmet Selections coffee. All they asked in return was that he'd write a honest review of what he thought of the coffees on his blog.

Free coffee?! Of course we said "Yes!" And that was the beginning of a love affair...

My favorite coffee of the three that were sent to us was the "Morning Café." Very mellow, yet very tasty--this coffee is perfect at any time of the day! It's also a great coffee to have on hand to serve to guests. If you're curious about trying any of the Gourmet Selections flavors, start with the Morning Café. You won't be disappointed. In fact, you'll probably become addicted, like me.

Many Gourmet Selections flavors come either ground or whole bean. We were excited to get to use our neglected coffee grinder again! We tried both "Lively Colombian" and "Vanilla Biscotti" whole bean coffees. Both were delicious!

While I prefer smooth coffees, like Morning Café, I did enjoy the more "full-bodied" taste of Lively Colombian. I didn't think that it was too bold. For a strong coffee I thought it was just right!

As for the Vanilla Biscotti, the name alone can excite your taste buds! I thought this coffee was well flavored and certainly not "overdone." There are some flavored coffees that make you say, "Ooo, yum! Artificial!" when you taste them. This was not one of those coffees.

As for the these coffees being whole bean... well, while I do enjoy grinding my own beans, I'd much rather skip that step of the process, since I'm really only a morning person after I've had a cup of coffee. But if you enjoy whole bean coffees, then there are several selections for you to choose from!
