Folk Remedies Made Easy

With the world economic situation the way it is, we all need to be frugal with our money as we just don't know how stable our jobs are any more. I have found some good folk remedy recipes that work for just about any person - keep in mind that every one is different so it may or may not work for you. These remedies you can make from what you should already have in your pantry & if you don't, it will be ALOT cheaper to get them than buying a commercially made product & hopefully be better for you than the chemicals that go into the commercially made product.
If you have any other folk remedies you would like to know, please tell me so I can add it here - I will have the remedy.

Folk Remedy Recipes

Using what you should have in your pantry

ACHING FEET
To soothe & refresh your feet, simply fill a basin with enough warm water to cover your feet. Add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar & 2 handfuls of marbles in the water. Roll the marbles around under your feet.

ANTI-STRESS BATH
Add 3 cups of white or apple cider vinegar to the bath & soak for at least 20 mins. The potassium in the vinegar is energising & will be absorbed into the skin. For lating results, do not shower vinegar off so vinegar can fully absorb.

ANTISEPTIC WASH
For a multi purpose antiseptic wash, use full strength white vinegar in a liquid soap pump bottle.

Boil 3 cups of water in a saucepan then add 3tsp of whate vinegar. Put a towel over your head & saucepan & breathe the vapours until your nose clears.

This very unusual remedy works a treat. Soak a mens size cloth handkerchief in full strength apple cider vinegar & wring till damp. Wrap a towel around your chest to bind in place & leave it there for 30 - 40 mins. Repeat day & night until relieved.

First wash hair with a good headlice shampoo which should eradicate most of them. To catch the rest of the lice & eggs, soak hair thoroughly in 50/50 white vinegar & hot water solution. Carefully comb through with a nit comb. For best results, treat all clothing & bedding as well.

This is to prevent swelling & to draw out the poisons from spider, mozzie & other insect bites. put 2Tbsp of cornstarch in a cup. Slowly add vinegar while stirring. When it gets to a paste consistancy, apply to effected area & allow to dry. Repeat if necessary. Welts, stings & hives may also be relieved by this.

ITCHY SCALP
Mix 1Tbsp white vinegar to a tall glass of water. Then dip a fine tooth comb into solution & combe through hair until hair & scalp are throughly wet. Let dry naturally & leave until your next shampoo.
