Connecting the world's most advanced operating system to the world's largest WiFi community
There are several scenarios for connecting Mac OS X to the FON network via La Fonera. We will discuss each of these scenarios with regard to connecting computers running Mac OS X to a La Fonera network.La Fonera creates two seperate wireless networks: a public network and a private network.
Connecting to a public FON network with Mac OS X is easy. Simply select the network and you will be connected to this unencrypted connection.
Connecting to a private FON network is a bit trickier. Private phone networks are WPA encrypted and require your to know the passcode. To connect to a private FON network use the WPA2 Personal option and input the required password. That should do it.
