Fruit The Food Of Love

Fruit is not only know to be the food of the gods but also the food of love. Not covered in chocolate or cooked in a pie it is, a pure bliss filled pleasure just in its sexy naked little self.

There is a long history through the ages (for that is where history is general found) of the food of love and it is mainly linked with fruits such as strawberries with their stunning red and love heart shapes and peaches representing the soft skin on someone's curvy bottom.

Fruits are the original aphrodisiac and I intend to let you in on them! So get some fruit, some time away from any distractions or children as they are known in my house, and get your love mojo's on full tilt! WOOHOOO (reading that back sounds way more naughty than it was meant. Hey ho I am keeping it as typed as it made me smile)

Apple of Your Eye

Love AppleI have decided to keep the tone of this lens light and so will not be going on about vitamins and minerals in foods, just the plain fact that there are some damned sexy fruit stuffs out there that are well known aphrodisiacs, and as it is the time of year where people like to start getting loved up why not indulge you and your partner in some fun fruity food frolics.

I know I like to spoil my partner . . . .
YES I DO ROB, I ALWAYS LET YOU MAKE THE CUPS OF TEA
tsk some people just don't know when they've got it made. Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, how I like to spoil my partner (not letting him read this now otherwise he will keep interrupting and questioning my honesty) and for our valentines day celebration we will generally be doing what we do everyday. Eat, drink lemon and honey and laugh! So, please find below some ideas for you starting with THE most refreshing cup of tea you may ever have.

Love From The Heart

Be A Bit Fruity!

Why not just say it with fruit!

Apple:

If it wasn't for that hissing snake she would have got away with it too! The ultimate fruit of temptation! Need I say more.

Banana:

Yes it has a bit of a rude shape but that is not the reason for its inclusion. It has vitamins and minerals that are necessary for the production of those little loving hormones. It is also worth noting that the Hindu culture consider the banana to be linked to fertility.

Peaches:

peaches have long been associated with love and peaches are used by the fairy folk as a love potion in Mr W Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Pineapples:

Our little energy generating friend; so if you want to go on a brisk walk on your day of lovingness or any other reason you may need a little extra energy (rock climbing/ weight lifting/ cycling . . that sort of thing) this is your chap/chappesse.

Pomegranates:

This is an all rounder on the old aphrodisiac front used in wedding feasts as a sign of fertility and was also consumed at certain parties by ancient Dionysian Greeks . . 'nuff said.

Strawberries:

They are not only the colour of love but the shape of love heats. Also the symbol of Venus the goddess of love. (the irony on this one is they come under the horticultural heading of "droops")

Cherry

These little bundles of juiciness are reputed to have a strong aphrodisiac effect on women and light their desires. I know when I eat them I have a sudden desire for an Aston Martin DB9 so watch out there lads it could be an expensive pack of fruit there. Mind you so saying I have that same desire occurring generally when I both breath in and breath out; so mayhap that is a connection I should look into.

Grapes:

Aaaah. our old trusted Greek depicted longest serving member of the aphrodisiac family. For time immemorial this bunch of buddies have been associated with pleasure/ fertility and feeding people on settee's.

So now with your new found knowledge see the next recipe, you can mix and match to suite your taste but the following is just mine.

Why Not Write Your Lover A Poem

It's Just A Simple Thing That Means A Lot

When I make something special it has to be from the heart, bear in mind jewellery, clothing, cars can all be replaced whereas the love of your life simply cannot. So why not take a few minutes out of your day to write something that is from you and you alone, crafted by your heat.

Here is one I wrote to (guess who). The title is due to the fact we have a Tom-Tom Sat Nav (just in case you were a touch confused!)

My Rob-Rob Sat Nav

I find myself at peace in your voice

I find my courage in your words

I find comfort in your embrace

I find myself, when I'm with you

I find without you I'm lost . . . .

What Ever You Do On Your Celebration Of Love Day

Make It Memorable

Love is a wonderful drug

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away..."

I would LOVE to hear your feedback.

Thank you for stopping by,.

I hope you enjoyed my light hearted look into the food of love.

With thanks and appreciation.
